SEPT. 30.—Since tbe date of our laat Circular, 19ib inst.. ratlier a large husiecM has been dnoe in our Cotton market, particularly an the { lit and B2d inn, when an improvement off a idner i was realised on all qualities bolow fair, and of Id per lb oe tbe better qualities. For a week past how ever, tbe demand baa been lesa active, and scarcely sufficient to sustain the above advance, and tbe ac count! of yesterday's Manchester mnrket being flat, ours has closed linAily today with rather a tendency downwards. The sales for the week end in* 23th inst. were 36,640 bales of which 0,810 were Upland, at 3* •is 11,740 Orleans at 4} a 71. with a few fancy lot* at 71 a 8],9,630 Alabama and Mobile at&| n fi|, ami 330 Sea Island at 19| a 28d per Hi— about 10.500 of it taken ou speculation. For the lour subsequent days, op to this evening, the business is estimated at •bout 19.000 bales, of which 5000 a 6000 are to specu lators. The operations of speculators are supposed to have been mainly influenced by the accounts from tbe United Stalesotlhe backwardness of the coining crop, and the prevalence in some districts of unfavor able weather for it. The import into Liverpool since tbe 1st January is 1,231,000 bales, against 925,000 in the first nine months of last season—in the supply fiom tbe United States the increase is 344,000 bales. Thfl stock in tills port is estimated at 489,000 bales against 429,000 at tbe same period last season. Tbe stork of Amer Van is abool 491,000 bales, or about 30,. 000 more than it then was. Tho continued uneasiness with regard to the Egyp tian question, and the adverse state of tue Foreign Exchanges, still operate unfavorably oo the Money- market. and is tome check tobusines* generally. LIVERPOOL, OCT. 3.—8lore tbe above demand for Cotton has been moderate and without any specu lative operations, but tho market though Inuguid, re main* steady. Tho sales for the week ended last evening amounted to{97,063 bales, of which 5,260 aver* upland, at 5} a 51 a 6|, and 220 Sea Island, at M a 61; 9,990 Orleans at 5 a 8 j 7.780 Alabama and Mobile, 6| a 0|, and 220 Sea Island at 1S| a 22Jd per lb. Tbeduty on yesterday advanced to 10s 18dper< and on Floor to Ile9fd per hbl. and must sono . still higher. Flour, duty paid at34s a 35s per bK — the value in bond is uncertain. The Foreign Ex changes and the Money Markot continue in an un satisfactory state.* LONDON, 8HPT. 30.—CW/aa—A steady demand continues to prevail, from the trade, at firm prices, which is fairly met by holders. The early part of laat week, speculators came into the ti nrket nnd caused a partial advance or |d, in some ease* {d per Ut. but they have since kept retired, end the ad ranee I* now barely aoppoited. There U not ranch aetivii; in tba demand tor goods and yarn, and this, add« to so Increased demand for money, liaa an influence oo tbe market. ** HAVRE. SEPT.
