Tho want of com|»oritinn arises frtrfn the low limits which ha*e been placed on most of the orders hitherto sent out. Great anxiety is manifested by cotton-dealers a* the time draws nigli fur the receipt of the neat European accounts, nnJ various are the conjectures indulged in as to iketr tenor and complex ion. We sincerely hopo they may prove to ho more favorable and explicit than has hither been the case for the state of uncertainty on this head renders al panics extremely timid and loth to operate. On Wednesday (lie market opened with much briskness, and fully 4500 bales changed bands, all of which was for the English market, with die exception of about 1000 bales intended for Hsvnx Yesterday tho sales reached fully 3.500 bales, part of which was for Spain. The extent of this day's operations was 1700 bales, and Uto market was rather heavy and dull, which is owing in a great measure to the fur ther advance in freights, |d having been paid to Liv erpool. The difficulty in disposing of Exchange has likewise an unfavorable influence on the staple, and factors seem disposed to push their stocks on the market, so as to realize at present quotations. The sales for die wees amount to fully 15,000 bales; and for the last three days embrace 9300 bales, of which we make more particular mention ns fol lows t—78 bale* of Louisinna and Mississippi at 7icj 98 dodo at 7h 01 do at 7J| 91 do middling, at 8j 50 do 8jl 75 do at 8}, 148 do at 8); 940 do barely middling sSf, WB THIS DAY. ||VU0—810,000, NO I-ULASKf MONUMENT IMTTEHY. 98 NO. 43.
