It is composed of such medi cinal principles as were considered most fit to re store the harmony ofaction between the stomach, liver, und the other important functions of the system, the loss of which harmony is evidently the immediate cause of the disease. It spcedily’pro- motes n regular and healthy appetite which is generally entirely destroyed or rendered very precarious; by which effect, vigor and strength is soon afforded to the whole system. It must be apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of complaints. By renewing the healthy action of the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re markable benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite, heart-horn, water brash, flatulency, jaundice, night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and all other affections of similar origin, but it is In the treatment nfFevers, and especially in Fever and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that its powers have been principally tested, and with those who have seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover eign to all remediea heretofore discovered fo those diseases. It has also been used as apre ventive, by many who were subject to n periodi cal recurrence of the ehills and fever, and it has always warded off the apprehended attack. It was deemed not improper to accompany tho vegetable febrifuge with a few of tho many une quivocal certificates politely ftirnished to tho pro- i rietor.cn rroborative of die foregoing statements. •’or further accounts'of its great usefulness, see pain plilels accompany ing each bottle. It is doubtless true, that tho excruciating pain, tho decrepitude, de formity and premature old age, which are the usual nUendants anil consequences of this drend- ed disorder, are suffered by many persons from utter despair of a cure, or frequent disappoint ment in the efficacy of the numerous pretended antidotes used to effect this purpose. But those who have made trial of Dr. Jebb's Rheumatic Liniment, even in obstinate cases of long stand ing, and of the most severe character, have re ceived essential relief, and many have keen cur ed in a few days, some in twenty-four hours, as a number of persons in Boston and vicinity, who were formerly afflicted with tho llheumutism, have very ful'y and satisfactorily testified.
