Sept. 29, 1840. oct 0 244| Rowand’s Tonic mixture, or Vegetable Febrifuge, A specific and lasting cure for Fever and Ague. miHS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur JL of being a quack medicine, it having been tho result of many years study, experience nnd labor, in the medical practice aud observation of Fever and Ague. It is composed of such medi cinal principles as were considered most fit to re store the harmony ofnption between thestAmnch, liver, nnd the otbor important functions of the system.lheloss of which narmony is evidently the immediate cause of tho disease. It speedily'pro- motes n regular and healthy uppeliln which is generally entirely destroyed or rendered very precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strength is soon afforded to the whole system. It must be appnrenlto nil. that a medicine possessing these peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of complaints. By renewing the healthy action of the digestivo organs, it hns proved itself of re markable benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite, heart-burn, water brush, flatulency, jaundice, night sweats, dysentery, bowel complnints, nnd all other affections of similar origin, but it is in Uie treatment of Fevers, and especially in Fever and Ague, or Remittent Fever, tlmt its powers have been principally tested, nnd with those who have seen its usefulness, .it is pronounced sover eign to ail remedies heretofore discovered fo those diseases. It has nlso been used as n pre vetitive, by many who were subject to n periodi cal recurrence of the chills and fever, nnd it hns always warded off the apprehended attack. It was deemed not* improper to accompany the vegetable febrifuge with n few of tho ninny une quivocal certificates politely furnished to the pro- irictr.r,corroborative of Uie foregoing statements, ‘'or further accounts of its great usefulnessrsoe pamphlets accompanying each bottle. A fresh supply of the above valuable medicine just received, and for snle bv G. R. HENDRICKSON, Agent. ang31 Fifty dollars Reward.
