A Certain Cure for Sick Head-
Ache,
W HICH has been tiRcd in families, every
member of which has had sick headache
from infancy,as a constitutional family complaint,
aud has cured 'effectually in every mstanc^ yet
known, amounting to many hundreds. It is not
nnnleasanUn the taste, and does not prevent die
daily avocations of one using it: it must be perse
vered in, and the cure is gradual, but cerian and
f iermanenb Instances nre constantly multiply-
lig where this distressing complaint is complete
ly relieved and cured, although of years standing,
by the use of Dr. Sp dim's celebrated remedy.
One decided preference is its pleasantness, hav
ing none of the nauseating effects of common
drags.
In all dyspeptic symtoms, costiveness, irregu
larity, distress after meals, pains in the side and
torpidity ofthe liver, the cure is perfect, and any
one so afflicted will become immediately convin
ced on using it that he has at Inst fnqnd a ‘‘sover
eign balm for his wounds." Females are particu
larly recommended to use it for costiveness or ir-
regulnrity, aud other female complaints. It is
E roved to correct vitiated and disordered humors
eeping the stomach in most perfect order. Those
persons who after an evoniugs indulgence at par
ties, &c. have headache and dullness tho. next
day, will find this a sure preventive if taken nt
bed time. For nil conimmicomplaints, in a few
days its virtues will beself*evid«ut,and a complete
cure wifi soon be effected. When n person has
n cold nttd feels unwell, generally n free use of it
for a few days will he sure to' relieve without
physic or pills. To children it may be given with
the greates tad vantage.
In all acidity orsournessofstomach this remedy
is sovereign aud invaluable; ns n general family
medicine it is now adopted hy many of the most
respectable familes. Ituever sickens the stomach
or produces any of the iinpleasnutefteot* ofphysic.

ELLIS’ COMPOUND
Krcosotc Tooth Wash.
lleconimindal by the Faculty.
T HIS compound will be found serviceable in
arresting nnd preventing decay in teeth;
keeping the teeth nnd gums iu a heal thy and clenn
condition ; sweetening the breath; removing tar
tar. nnd relieving pain caused hy carious teeth.
Few discoveries in modern chemistry promise
more important results than that ofKreosote, by
Dr. Rfichunhach, an eminent chemist of BInns-
ko. in Monrovia. It is a highly rectified liquid
product, obtuined from wood, mid isniinlogous to
charcoal in its antiseptic properties, but far more
powerful us a corrective and preventive of de
cay. Chnrconl, notwithstanding its well known
cleansing properties, is objectionable ns n denti
frice, on account afits insolubility, and the risk
of minute particles remaining between the teeth
and producing injury. Kreosnte, on the contra
ry. cannot be liable to this objection, and posses
ses, to a much greater extent, the nutiseptic and
purifying properties of the former. The trials
which have been made with it, in this country
and Europe hnve proved its efficacy.
It is strongly recommended hy the Faculty ns
the best preventive against curios iu teeth. To
sweeten the breath, rendered offensive by decay
ed teeth, tho use of tobacco, or other causes, arid
to arrest decay itself, it stands pre-eminent.
Ellis's compound Kreosote Tooth Wash, com
bines the virtues of Kreosote, of the strength
adapted for-this purpose, with other substances
known to be highly advantageous in whitening
aud preserving the teeth.
It is confidently recommended to the puhlici .
avnlnnhle compound, which may he used daily
with great advantage to the teeth und gums, nt the
same time leaving ait agreeable sensation in the
mouth. There is no ncid iu this wash, nor any
ingredients entering into its composition, but
such ns nre highly beneficial to "the teeth.
It hav been examined and used hy several of
the. first Physicians of thU city, who have no hesij
tntinn in recommending it ns mi excellent wash
for the teeth nnd gimtii, preventing thn Jutter IVoin
