Rownnd’s Tonic Mixture, or Vegetable Fcbrifngc, A specific and lasting cure for Fever end Ague. rpHIS worthy remedy earnestly repels foe slur X of being a qnnek medicine, it having been the result of many years study, experience and labor, in foe medical practice and observation of Fever nnd Asue. It is composed of such medi cinal principles as were considered most fit to re store the harmony afaction between foe stomach, liver, and the other important functions of the syslem.foe loss of which'harmony is evidently foe immediate cause of the disease. It speedily’prn- motes n regular nnd healthy appetite which is generally entirely destroyed or rendered very preenrinus; hy which effect, vigor nnd strength is soon afforded to Uie whole system. It must he apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these peculinr virtues, is useful in a great variety of complaints. By renewing the healthy action of the digestive organs, it Ims proved itself of re markable benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite, heart-bum, water brash, flatulency, jnnndice, night swents, dysentery, bowel complaints, nnd all other affections of similar origin, but it is in foe treatment of Fevers, and especially iu Fever and Aguo, or Remittent Fever, that its powers have heeu principally tested, and with those who have seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover eign to srll remedies heretofore discovered fo those diseases. It has also been used os 0 pre veutive, by many who were subject to n periodi cal recurrence of tho chills ond fever, and it hoi always warded off the apprehended attack. Il wus doomed not improper to accompany the vegetable febrifugo with a few of foo many une quivocal certificates politely furnished to the pro prietor, corroborative of foe foregoing statements, For further accounts of its great usefulness, see pamphlets accompanying each bottle. T HE diseases of tho hair among us are those which occasion boldness nnd gradual fulling off of foe hair, and thinness of it—foe causes of which ariso from ranny disorders, especially fe vers; perspiration, which extends the pores, re laxes the roots, causes foe hair to fall off, and of ten occasions total baldness. Baldness has ever been esteemed a great defect. It generally arises through violent exercise, from whence arise per spirations, which too frequently occasion n loss oftho hair—it relaxes the roots—the acidity pre vents the fluid acting on foo hair, which occasions it to waste. For instance, after a violent perspi ration the hair becomes dry, it feels extremely harsh, and no elasticity in it whatever; therefore, to prevent its taking on effect on foo hair, first rub the hairdry with n cloth, then apply tlio Cub- soda Oil to flie roots of foo hair, so foot the skin of the Lend may bo moistened, and remain so af ter each lime of perspiration.
