The Charleston Courier says the Harrison mo. jority iu North Carolina is expected to reach 10,- 000. . MASSACIITSETTS. The Boston Transcript of Saturday states that the vote for Governor was as follows; John Davis, 70,050 Marcus Morton, 54,107 Whig Majority, 15,889 Whig gain since 18:19,10,120. The mercantile Journal states that the majority on the electoral ticket, New Marlboro only to hear from, is 18,347. That town in 1839 gave n Van Buren majority or 10; ir it does the same this year, the majority for Harrison in the State is lb,331. ILLINOIS. There are many additional returns from Illinois, both from the Northern extremity and Southern —but they tire scattering and imperfect, nnd do not yet enable ns tn pronounce with certainly up on the electoral vote of that state. From the North, Dn Page, Lake end Kano counties hare given small Harrison majorities; while the coun ties of Conk, La Sallo, and Will, have given strong majorities for Vun Daren. On the other hand, the Wubnsh county has gone strongly for Harrison. The Whigs tmvo gained largely on tho whole, but the result is yet doubtful. MISSOURI Will go fbr Van Buren, but by a reduced ma jority. In St. Louis, die vote cost in August whs 400:L—ill November 4391. Tho Whig majority is about 050. In several of the neighboring counties tho Whigs hnvo also majorities—Inn not enough, it raid, to overcome the heavy Van Bu ren counties in the interior.
