It is composed of such modi- ciual principles ns were considered most fit to re store the harmony ofnetion between tlie stomach, liver, and the other important functions of the system, the loss of which harmony is evidently the immediate cause of the disease. It speedily.’prn- moles n regular and healthy uppetite which is generally entirely destroyed «r rendered very precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strength is soon afforded to the whole system. It must be apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these peculiar virtues, is useful in n great variety of complaints. By renewing tlie healthy action of the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re- mnrkahle benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite, heart-burn, water brush, flatulency, jaundice, night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and all other affections of similur origin, but it is in the treatment of Fevers, and especially in Fever and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that i|s powers have been principally tested, and with those who havo seen its useftilness, it Is pronounced sover eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo those diseases. It has also been used as a pro vcntivH, by many who were subject to a periodi cal recurrence of the chills nnd fever, and il has always warded off tho apprehended attack. It was deemed not improper to accompany the vegetable febrifuge with a few of tho many une quivocal certificates politely ftirnished to tlio pro prietor, corroborative ofthe foregoing statements.
