'Krcosotc Tooth Wash*
Recommended by the Faculty.
T HIS compound will be found Mrviceablo in
arresting and preventing decay in teeth;
keeping the teeth and gum* iu a healthy and clean
condition ; sweetening the breath; removing tar
tar. and relieving puiu caused’by carious teeth.
Few discoveries in modern'cbemi*try promise
mott! important results than that of Kreosnte, Ivy
Dr. Reicheiihnch, ail eminent chemist of Blaus-
kn, in Monrovia. It i* a highly rectified liquid
prodttet. obtained from wood, ntid i* analogous to
charcoal in it* antiseptic properties, hut far more
powerful a* a corrective nnd preventive of de
cay. Charcoal, notwithstanding it* well known
cSenusiug properties, is objectionable ns a denti
frice, on account of it* insolubility, and the risk
of niiuuto particles remaining between the teetli
and producing injury. Krensnte. on the contra
ry, cannot be liable to this objection, nnd posses
ses, to a much greater extent, the antiseptic and
purifying properties of tlm former. The trial*
which have been made with it. in this country
and Europe hare proved its'elficacv.
It is strongly recommended by the Faculty n*
the best preventive against caries in teeth. ’To
sweeten the breath, rendered offensive by decay
ed teeth, tlm use of tobacco, or other causes, aud
to arrest demy itself, it stand* pre-eminent.
Lilia'm compound Kreotolt Tooth Hath, com
bines tho virtue* of Krccisofe, of the strength
adapted far this purpose, with other substance*
known to lie highly advantageous in whitening
aud preserving the tccdi.
It i* coufidc'itly recommended to the publicas
a ndnnhin compound, which may ho used daily
with great advantage to the teeth and gums, at the
same time leaving nti agreeable sensation in tlm
mouth. There is no acid in this wush, nor nny
ingredients entering into it* composition, but
such as nre highly beneficial to Uio teetii.
It-ha* been examined and used by several of
tins firxi Po^sViun* of this city, who have no hesi
