THE PHOENIX BITTERS are so called, be-
restored to life from the ashes of its own dissolu
tion. The Phconix Bitters ere entirely vegetable,
composed of roots found only in certain parts of
the w&tern country, which will infoliblv cure
FEVERS AND AGUES ofall kinds { will never
foil to eradicate ontiroly all the effects of mercury
infinitely sooner than the most powerful prepar
ations ofSaranpnrilln. and will immediately cure
the determination of BLOOD TO THE HEAD;
never foils in sickness incident to young females:
and will be found a certain remedy in all cases of
nervous debility and weakness of the most im
paired constitutions.
As a remedy for Chronic and Inflammatory
Rheumatism, the efficacy ofthe Phoenix Bitters
will lie demonstrated bv the use ofa single bottle.
The usual dose of these Bitters is half a wine
glass full, in water or wine, nnd this quantity may
he taken two or three times a day, about half an
hour before meals, ora less nuontity may be
ken at all times. To those who are afflicted v
indigestion after ineals, these Bitters will pr
invaluable, ns they very greatly increase the
tion ofthe principal viscera, help them to perform
their functions, and enable tho stomach to dis
charge into the bowels whatever is offensive.
Thus indigestion is easily nnd speedily removed,
appetite restored, and the mouths ofthe absorb
ing vessels being cleansed, nutrition is facilitated
nnd strength of body aud euergy of mind are the
happy results.

The Lucina Cordial, •
BEWARE OF FRAUD.
T HE unprecedented popularity of this benefi
cent and inestimable CORDIAL in the U-
nited States, has induced one or more unprinci
pled persons to manufacture spurious catchpenny
articles, under various names, and purporting tit
produce the same effect} but which, in reality, pro
duce no other effect than that of swindling the
public; nnd to give a yet more plausible appear
ance of their cupidity, thobo persons affect that
their wretched nostrums have been in use in
England and elsewhere fore number of year.*
whereas, until the illustrious Dr. Mscnin made
his wonderful discovery, no cure for barrenness
had been ever thought of, or at least made pub
lic; and all those then in use for the restoration
oftho decayed virile power* were found to be of
hut little avail. Thus, nil nostrums advertised
fur barrenness or the cure ofimpotency, but Dr.
Mlignin’s nro mere catchpenny humbugs, which
would never have been thought ofbut for the ap
pearance nnd great celebrity of the LUCINA
3QRD1AL. As no counterfeit orthe name is
nt present in circulation, it niny in general be a
sufficient caution for the pnrehmer to ask for the
Lucina Cordial, but as furthar nssurance.itwould
he ns well to note that its name, Luciua Cordial,
or Elixir of Love, is stamped in the gloss of each
bottle—the combined arms of France and the U-
nited Slates are ou the outward envelope—that
a Fleur de Lis is printed ou the accompanying
directions, andbeniitifully embossed on the snow
bills hanging in the stores of those who have the
genuine article for sale.
The celebrity of the Lucina Cordial being such
as it is, it is scarcely necessary to add that it is the
only efficient remedy for barrenness, and the res
toration of decayed v trile powers ever known;
and thatin the cure of Fluor Albus,Gleet, obstruc
ted, difficult or painfit! Menstruation, the incon
tinence ofthe urine, or the involuntary discharge
thereof, its superiority over every other medicine
is not only decided, hut unquestionable. For

W E perceive by the papers that the famous
French physician, Dr. Mngnin, has estab
lished an ngency for the sale of the above ~named
extraordinary medicine in this city; and to speak
the truth, we ore sorry for it, as we think that
there nro tuo many people in this part of the
world nlrcndy. VVe dare not enter into an expla
nation of the wonders effected by this medicine
here, but will nevertheless venture to add, that it
is the royalist thing in the world forgenf/emennnd
ladies who are AHslwnrfsand reives, and who wish
to bo fathers and mothers. The agent should take
this medicine to the for west, where people are
scarce.—New York Examiner.
“ Vie Lucine Cordial" is a general invigorator
of the hiiiiian frame in nil the various cases of
Inngor, laSsitude anil debilitation, and is nt the
same time so simple, yet so efficacious, that while
it can renoVate the prostrated energies of a giant,
an infant may use it, not only with inmiinity, but
with ndvntituge. The Lucine Cordial is also an
indubitable clire for the incontinence of the urine,
or the involuntary discharge thereof. It is like
wise ail mValuubie and unrivalled medicine in
enses of chronic eruptions ofthe skin, and in the
dropieal affections ofthe age.
