FEVER AND AGUE. It is composed nfsuch
medicinal principles as were considered most fit
to restore the harmony of action between the
Stomnch. Liver, nnd the other important func
tions of die system, the loss of which harmony is
evidently the immediate cause of dm disease. It
speedily promotes a regular nnd healthy appetite
which is generally entirely destroyed or rendered
very precarious; hy which effect, vigour and
strength is soon afforded to the whole system. It
must he apparent to all, that a medicine possess
ing these peculiar virtues, is useful in a great va
riety of complaints. By reuewing the healthy no
tion of the digestive organs, it has proved itself

This article is prepared according to a recipe
procured from a very old and eminent physician,
the lute Dr. Holyoke, who preserved his own life
by its efficacy, although of a consumptive enn-ti-

two years; until the age of eighty-seven, he was

through violent exercise, from whence arise per
spirations, which too frequently occasion a lost
