T HESE Hitters are composed of vegetables
of the most innocent, yet specific virtues,
and Imve been highly extolled by thousands who
hnve experienced thcireflicacyiutlienhovo nam

machic and corrective tlie vegetable kingdom fur

against fever, und nru very serviceable nt all sea
sons of the year, more particularly in the spring
and summer months, when persons of bilious
habits experience that total loss of appetite, disa
gr. cable listlessness and relaxation oftho system.
They strengthen the stomneh, procure a good up-
petite, promote digestion, purify tlm blond, and
restore the invalid to his original strength and
vigor. Most of the Bitters with which the mar
ket is now supplied nro nothing more than cheap
groggy preparations, sold nt a high price, and
boiieht mainly for their intoxicating properties.
These Ritters are superior to any that are, or
ever have lieen offered to the public. Being
punscntlv aromatic, they are particularly recoin-
mended to seafaring persons ns an antidote a-
gnin*t'the Scurvy. Persons laboring under tlm
infirmitiesof old age, will findtheso Bitters to
prove a wholesome, agreeable and invigorating
stomachic cordial, increasing the appetite and as
sisting digestion in a remnrkabledegreo,removing
those low spirited and trembling sensations, the
sure effect ofa want of tone in the system. They
arc peculiarly adapted to those who are troubled
with Dinrhum, or Weakness of the Bowels, Ac.
prevalent in the summer nnd autumnal mouths.
They will Im found in all coses of the following
description to give relief, viz: Jaundice, Weak
Stomneh. Costiveness, Excessive Weariness,
Loss of’Appetite, Dullness und Oppression, a
iropensity to Sleep, Bitter Taste in the Mouth,

which arise from many disorders, especially fe-

A specific and lasting cure for Fever and Ague,
rilll IS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
X of being a quack medicine, it having been
the result of many years study, experience nud
labor, iu tim medical prnctico and observation of
Fever and Ague. It is composed of such medi
cinal principles as were considered most fit to re
store the harmony ofnetion between the stomach,
liver, uud the outer important function* of the
system.tlm loss of which harmony is evidently the
immediate cause of the disease. It speedily'prn-
mutes a regular und healthy appetite which is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered very
precarious; by which effect, vigornnd strength is
soon afforded to tlm whole system. It must be
apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of
complaints. By renewing tim healthy action of
the digestivo organs, it lias proved itself of re
markable benefit iu dyspepsia, depraved appetite,
heart-bum, water brash, flatuleucy, jaundice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
nil other affections of similar origin, but it is in
tim treatment nf Fevers, nnd especially in Fever
and Agun, or Remittent Fever, that its powers
have been principally tested, uud with those who
have seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those diseases. It Iras also been used as a pro
veutive, by many who were subject to a periodi
cal recurrence of tlm chills and fever, and it has
always warded off tlm apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to accompany tlm
