Applicants for admission to the Freshman class,
will he examined critically, us to their knowledge
of the Latin, Greek, nud English Grammars,
(prosody included;) also upon the Auuhasis of
Xenophon, ns contained in the first volume of
the Collectnunn Grteca Miijom—or any equiva
lent selection in the same volume; also upon
Pliny’s Letters—nr Sallust—or Livy. Above
nil. they will he expected to evince great readi
ness in Arithmetic.
For admission to the Sophomore Class, in ad
dition to the nhovc, the applicant should have
read nud completed the first volume of the Maju
ro. nud the first book of the Odyssy. or their
equivalents. The odes of Horace, with atfeniiou
to prosody; with Tacitus’ Life of Agricoin, nnd
his Germany. In .Mntiiumatics ho will he exam-
nunl on all Day's Algebra, and on the first threw
honks of Playfair's Geometry.
Punctual attendance on (lie first day of Term
is desirable, ns well for the sake of the Student
na for the good of tho Institution nt large.
Good Board maybe obtained in private fiuni-
iiesnt from ten to twelve dollars per mouth.
College Fees, including Tuition, Room rent.
Servant hire, Library, &c. Fifty Dollars, payable
