Jayne’s Hair Tonic—Hair.
T HERE is nothing like a good bead of hair to
set off a man’s pate. As the poet says—
•'—.'Tis the robe which curious nature weaves
To banc upon the bead, and does adorn
Our bodies."
To be sure a bnldhend is becoming enough in
n judge, or a minister, for itlooks grave and ven
erable, and tho’ it may not be an interring evi-
dcncaof wisdom, yet it is a decisive proof tbnt
Ute individual is not hair brained.—Young per
sons, especially young beaus and belles, arc rath
er averse to a premature disroheiuent nftheir
roof*; and he who offers a remedy to preserve
that importuntornamentmusthe looked upon in
the light of a benefactor. And such a one is Dr.
Jayne, whose hair tonic has done wonders ittconx
ing thn hair out on barren spots, and preventing
its falling off. There is no quackerv about this
article. We have seen evidence nfits ellicncy.
A gentleman who fins been bald for a tmmbcrof
years, by the use of this tonic, has get quite a
flourishing growth on the late waste place. Those
wboiwt hair, like false friends, is leaving them,
will find this an excellent preventive. To young
bucks who aspire to busby whiskers, this tonic
must be invaluable—nnd to yoong ladies who
would preserve their glossy rtnalet*. it must be
the great desideratum.—Portland Transcript.

Few discoveries ill modern chemistry prumix*
