pain in any part of the-body, that pain Is caused
by the retention of'thoee matters which ought
to havo cotno away by the bowels. They must
come by that channel boforo health can lie es
tablished. Be sensible then—* use'those reme
dies only whieh bodily take out from the bowels
and circulation all those matters which have been
retained bnyonJ the time Nature designed or health
permitted. And for this purpose Urandrclb’s Pills
are all sufficient. Let it bo understood, that in all
caa*t,lf possible, they should be used on an empty
atnmach. The Pills will alwaye have a bolter er-
feet. Not but they aro perfectly eafo at any time
they are to.’ Tho object is to insurn tho groatos
amount nr good, and thia la accomplished by taking
them on an empty stouiarih. Because the object is
no 1 , to accelerate digestion hut to remove the cru
dities from the blood; and the Pills, always passing
into tho blood, do so more easily, and with greater
comfort to tho body, when the stomach has nothing
to oppose to them in thnir passage through it Io the
first intestines, and so into the circulation. For
when tbe Pills are swallowed, they first pais
into the atomach, and having been dirS’oived
there, neat pass into tho small Intestines whence
tho lacteala stuck them up and pais thorn along,
with a portion of chyle, into the veins first, and
afterwards into the arteries. ' I suppt-sn they,
the Pills, impart ail extra power to arterial blood
tn deterge morbid matters wherever it may find
them; and also passing such morbid matters from
the arteries to )hn veins, which bring them to
the liver, pancrass and kidneys; in consequence
of which, these organs become more vigorous
in tlieir accretions, and expel not only the cru
dities which have been thrown into them from all
parts of the body, hut also thoao Which they thorn-
selves contained previous to tho collodion of crudi
ties or impure humors or matters am discharged in
to tho bowels and is being accompliihcd when yne
feel that filling up of the bowels, which warn that
the/ aro qbout being moved. This feeling .takes.
place In health, only to a loss extent; for it is tho
aaino principlo that moves tha bowels to discharge
their contents; and those nerid • or acid humors are
provided by Nature for this very purpose—that of
producing tho alvina evacuation—and it is only
when they are in lop great a quantity that dis
ease is produced. Tho Urandelh Pills bring
theseJiutmirs from.all'ports of. the body to ihe
bowels, which viscera is cxcitod by their pres-
enco, end an occasions tlieir expulsion from Ihe
body, thus it is sqett that tho Pills lose thuir indi-
viduality after becoming dissolved In tho stomncht
and the purgation is solely from the effect produced
by the cleansing tho blood receives of its impurities.
Beware of counterfeits. .Be careful to apply on
ly to Dr. Brandreth’s duly appointed Agents for the
Pill*, all others nro spurious.
