my wifa had been In a low .into of health. She
suffered vor/much with sick headache and sick
stomach—her appetite had failed and she became
extremoly weak. Seeing an advertisement in the
Newspapers respeeting Spencer’s Pills, and Res
torative Bitters, she would not bo satisfied till she
tried them. I bought one box of the Pills nnd one
bottlo of the Bitters, which she used with so much
benefit, that 1 sent and got another box of the Pills,
and two bottles more or tho Bitters, all or which
aho took, nnd the result was n most happy one.
The sickness at her stomach and tho hendache

W ORMS IN CHILDREN.—Of
all diseases to which children are exposed,
nono aro so fatal to them as Worms. Unfortunate
ly , children aro seldom free from thorn, and as they
imitate the symptoms of almost every other com
plaint, they often produce alarming effects without
boing suspected. Worms nre not only a cause of
disonso ihomsolves, but by thoir irritation nggra-
vnto nil other diseases, wandering from ono part of
tho body to the other, winding UiemRoives up into
largo balls, and obstructing tno bowels anu fre
quently tho throat,* causing convulsions, and too
often death. Tho desired remedy will bo found in
DR. JAYNE’S TONIC VERMIFUGE—which
will very soon destroy the A)ms, nnd invigorate
tbo powers of digestion, soar to prevent a return
of them.

BLOOD, fiic.—To Consumptives Four fifths of
you are really suffering from neglected colds or an
obstruction and consequent inflammation of tbo
delieato lining of those tubes through which the air
we breathe is distributed to every part of tho lungs
This obstruction produces pain end serenes,
hoarseness, cough, difficulty of breathing, hectic
fover. and n spitting of blood, matter, or phlegm,
which finally exhausts tho strength of the patient,
and death ensues. JAYNE’S EXPECTORANT
never fails to rpmovo this obstruction, and produces
tho most pleasing nnd happy result. It is certain
in its effects, anu cannot fail to relievo.

D R. SPENCER J S VEGETABLE
TONIC fit RESTORATIVE BITTERS.—
Healtii, “the poor man’s riches, the rich man’s
bliss.’’—The design of Spencer’s Vegetable Pills,
and-Vegetable Tonic, and Restorative Bitters, is to
create a flow of pure healthy bile, instead of the
stale nnd acrid kind. This is effected by theit-snl-
utary action upon tho various secretory organs by
which tho bilo is formed—and it will bo seon at
onco, that tho bile must.be healthy or unhealthy,
according to tho formation' of the blood ; and thnt
the purity or impurity of tho blood, is owing to tho
formation of tho Chute, whieh passes into and forms
tho blood. These pills and Bitters, by their beno-
ficial action upon the stomach, causes thnt impor
tant organ to produco a proper quantity of pure,
healthy chyle, and so astonishingly assisting diges
tion, that nearly nine-tenths of all diseases are re
lieved or ontlrely cured by their uso.
Tho ohjoct of tho Pills ierto stimulate all the
vital organs of tho system into action, and thereby
clennro tho stomach and bowole of all tho morbific
and offonaive matter with which tho system is
cloggod, nnd which promotes disease. The Bit
ters are te Strengthen aud restorer*Hw stomach
nnd vital organs to theft propor tone and vigor.
When this is accomplished, grtod health must of
course be the result. For safe by

C OLUMBIAN EMBROCATION
A remedy for Sea-Sickness.—It ia an indis
putable fact that thousands of persons, whom busi
ness or pleasure calls to foreign countries, are
dotorred from attempting a voyage on account
of the violent attacks of Sea-sickness to
which sonio persons are always liable in rough
woatber, and Irom which few are exempt for many
days after the commencement of theft nrat passage
by sea. It cannot be denied that numberless indi

S ;|ad to sock another climato for the restoration oC,
mpaired health, in pursuit of wealth, or from other*
causes, were it not from the dread of subjecting
themselves to an illness which has ofton proved fa-'
tal to life. This illness however may be alleviated,
and in a few hours all symptoms of it driven away.

“I havo examined a sample of Arrow Root, manu
factured by Col. Hailnwea, of St. Matya, Goo., and
exhibited nt the last Fair of tho American Institutb
by Mr. Stephen Burkhalter of this city. The arti
clo is of the very finest quality, nnd from the ex-
porimnnis mode upon it, I find it to contain ns large
a proportion of nutritious matter, nnd to be in every
othor respect fully equal to, the Best quality of Ar
row Root obtained from Bermuda. ,
“It beingof vital importance to invalids that such
delieato articles of diet be. pure, l feel glad> of the

A STRONG EVIDENCE that DR. JAYNE’S
EXPECTORANT is superior to all other rente-
dies for Coughs, Consumption, Bronchitis, Asthma,l
and othor Pulmonary affections, is, that the same
persons who commenced the use of it in their
families ton vears ago, .still prefor it to all other,
remedies of the kind; and where any have been in
duced to try other preparations, they have almost
invariably been disappointed in receiving the bene
fit which wns reasonably anticipated from the high
praises bestowed by the proprietors, and have re
turned to the uso of JAYNE'S EXPECTORANT,
ns n remedy that never has failed to relieve theip,
and which probably never bad its equal in arraating
Pulmonary diseases.
