city of Savannali which by contract nro subject to dry
culture, U a violation of Ilia true intent and meaning
the said contract, and Is prohilltcd by the ordinances of
Uie city, and Is manifestly Injurious to the health of the
citizens; and whereas power Is vested In the Mayor aud
Aldermen of the elty of Savannah nnd tho hamlet* there
of, by Act ofthe General Assembly, to carry into foil effect
the system of dry culture, and to remove all nuisances or
or causes of di-care which may effect the health of the
citizen*; and whereas, it Is Uie right and 1ms become the

said Rico if growing, or to appear before Council at a tlmo
and place In. such notice to be Specified, not exceeding
