be entirely satisfactory to the respective commandants.
The white oak timber must bo rough squared, accord
ing to ths growth of the tree, to have no wane e seceding
one-fourth tho width or the face of the side as squared.
All the yellow pine timber must be of the very best quali
ty of Inf leaf,fins grain, Southern yellow pine, to be hewed
to a fair edgo( and to have no moro sap than ono-cighth
of the breadth of the face from each corners tho contents
of all sap to be excluded In the measurement of the tim
ber. The oak must ba failed between the lit or October
and ths 1st or March, and mutt have grown within sixty
mile* of the sea coast} mnttbe shipped of the bark or
hewed within twenty days alter It Is failed, and plneed
claar of the grounds or which salLfactory evidence must
be given by tha corrector, by the production or certifi
cates signed by two responsible witnesses, with their de-

Tito aforesaid “plank stocks” anil “promiscuous lim
ber” must be tolled between tho 1st of October nnd tho
1st of March, nnd must have grown within 00 utiles of
the sea coast; must be stripped of tho bark, or hewed
within 20 days after it is tolled, nnd placed clear of the
ground.
