Messrs. A. R. A D. Sands: Gentlemen—Having used,
nnd witnessed the clftcts or your excellent preparation or
Sarsaparilla on different persons in various pans of tho
Southern country, via:—^Virginia, Louisiana,Texas and
Mexico, I feel much pleasure in staling tho high opinion
entertained of Its grant medicinal value. In my own
caso It arted atmo'l like a clinrm, removing speedily the
enervated state of the system, and exciting in the most
agreeable manner, a tonic nnd Invigorating fiitlucnco.
Your Sarsaparilla is highly approved and extenrively
used by the United States army In Mexico, and my courin
Gen. Zachary Taylor, has for the pnst five years been in
the hubli of using it, and recommends the same; he and
myselfadoptcd tTio article at the same time, and ttis now
considered an almost indi'pcnsable requisite In the Army.
In conclusion I would say, that the better it is known the
more highly it will be prized, and I trust Unit its health
restoring virtues will make it generally known, through
out the length nnd breadth ol our widely extended country.
Yours very respectfully, 8. O. TAYLOR,

Unit '‘truth i* stranger than fiction.”
The following letter, narrating one or the most remark
able event* In the annnls of Medical Science, Is from the
Rev. Dr. Landis, a Clergyman of New-Jersey, of dis
tinguished attainments and exalted reputation:
Sidney, New Jersey, July 13.1818.
Dr. A. II. Christie—Dear Sir: You wish to know of
mo what has been the result in my own case, of Uio nppli
cation of the Galvanic Belt and Necklace. My reply
is as follows!—
For about twenty year* I had been suffering flom Dyi
pepda. Every year tlui symptoms became worse, nor
could I obtain permanent roliof from any courso of medi
cal treatment whatever. My physlcinns were skilful
and excellent men; but here their prescriptions foiled.
About fourteen years sinco, in conscquenco of frequent
exposure to the weather, in the discharge of my personal
duties, 1 became subject to r severe Chronic Rheumntlsm,
which foryearnfioryenr, caused me indescribable anguish.
In the severer paroxysms, tho skill of my physicians
sometimes afforded me great relief; but Uiis relief was on
ly temporary. Farthers in Uia winter of ’43 and ’4fl, In
consequence of preaching n great deal in my own and
various other churches in this region, I was attacked by
the Dronchitfr, which soon became so severe n..|n require
nn immediate suspension of my pastoral labors. My tier-
rom *u*trm tea* now thor oughly proitratcd, and ns my
Broncnitisbccnmo worse, so nUodid my Dyspep-la and
Rheumatic affection—thus evincing that these disorders
were connected with ench other through the medium of
Uio Ncrveus System.
But reasoning from effect to canse, I concluded that the
Mervous >y*tem must bo reached, before any hope could
bo Indulged of my obtaining relief from these most dis
tressing maladies. In the wholo nharmnropadn there
seemed to bo no rempdlnl ajent which could reach nnd
recuperate my Nervous System; every tiling that I hail
tried for this purpose had completely failed. At last I was
led by my friends to examine yourinvonUnns, nnd (though
wlUi no very sanguine hopes of thrir efficiency,) I de
termined to try tho effoct of the application of the
GALVANIC BELT AND NECKLACE, with the
MAGNETIC FLUID. This was in June, 1846.—
To my great astonishment, in two days my Dyspepsin
had gone; in eight days I was enabled to resumo tny pas-
tornflalior*, nor have I since omitted a single service on
account of tho Bronchitis; nnd my Rheumatic affection
also ccnscd to trouble me. If time permitted, 1 could
fill n sheet of paper with the details of particu
lar*, hut I can now only furnish this brief abstract.—
My Dyspepsia has never returned I tlio Rheumatism once
in n while visits tnc, but never severely, nnd Is easily
arrested, nnd is manifestly being driven from its hold up
on my system, nnd my Bmnchtolnffectlon Is entirety cured.
I iravc recommended the BELT and FLUID to many
who have been likewise suffering from neuralsic affec
tions. They have tried them, with happy results, I lie
liove in every case. ROBERT \V. LANDIS.
