Atchison, residing in Harrison county, Vn.
while suffering under temporary derangement,
went into the harvest field of his neighbor, Sam
uel Elder, look up a scythe, whetted Ucarefully,
and, as Mr. Elder was stooping in mowing,
Atchison raised the scythe, and, with a furious j
effort, cut tho head of his unfortunate neighbor

1st Inst, amount to 618 hales and the exports for the same
