Registry Law for the City of Savannah.
AN ACT to amend an act entitled an act umcndntory of
sad In addition to the various acts, heretofore passed In
reference to tho city of Savannah, approved December
8:h, 1940, to allow nn nppoal to. a Special Jury in the
Superior Court or Chatham County, from nny decision
made under tho sixth section of that act, nnd also to
provide for tho registry of tho names of all persons en
titled lo volo far Aluyor nml Aldormcn or said city; nnd
to prevent persons from voting for such Mnyor and Al
dermen whoso names are not registered.
Sic. 1. lie it enacted by the Senate and Haute of Repre
sentatives of the State of Georgia, in General .7etembly
net, and it it hereby enacted by the authority of the tame,
That when nny decision of Freeholders shull hereafter bo
made under tho sixth section of tho said net of Docoinbor
tih, lew, tho owner or ownors of laud affected by such
decision, shall havo tho right to appeal therefrom lo a
special Jury In the Superior Court of Chuthutn county,
sal the verdlctof such Jury shall bo final and conclusive

Sic. 2, He it further enacted by the authority of

Sic. 3d. Be it further enacted by the authority afore-

nnce, any officer duly elected nnd appointed by tho
Mayor and Aldermen or n mnjorlty of them, far that pur

Monday In September ensuing when It shall bo finally
and absolutely closed.
Sec. 4. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
That it shall bo tho duty of such Clurk or officer, upon tho
application in person, and not by proxy, or any person en
titled to vote as nfaresald, within tho llmo prescribed for
the list lo be kept open, to register the name of such per-
awl deliver to him n cortlllcnlo of such registry, ex
pressing his name, number, nnd the dato of registry.
Bic. 5. lie it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
That such clerk or other officer shall bo authorized lo re-
quite say applicant for registration to make nn affidavit

Sic. 6. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid,
That It shall he tho duty of such clerk or other officer, to

unnah at least once a month, from the first Monduy In
January, to tho first Monday In October, In ench year, and
