unrivalled in Its operation on the system when laboring
under djsease. The manv well authenticated cures or

Messrs. Bands—GenilemcnAbout three months
since, tho disease callod “ Beard, or Uarber’a Itch,” ap
peared on my face, and as It Is or rare occurrence—no
case as yet having come under the care of our village
physicians—I found It very difficult even to slop the pro
gress of the disease on my race, although l tried reme
dies that had cured from the pimple on a child’s free to
tho gulled breast of a canal horse; and oven pulled out
my beardon the side or my ’toco and chin. A abort (Info
since, a friend told mo that he had It for two yean, and
tried dlffercut remedies without success, but finally cured
U In a short time by the uso of Bands’ Sarsaparilla. On this
recommendation, I bought one bottle, and finding I re
ceived benefit from It, 1 continued lls uso until I am now
perfectly cured. 1 — *- -

• Messrs. Sands :—Having suffered many years with a
disease of my throat, affectlug the larynx, during which
timo I was treated by tho most distinguished physicians
in Europe and the United Stales, without receiving an
permanent benefit, but all the lime my general heall..
and strength declining, and the disease making fearful
progi ess. Caustic applications were used, and whatever
also was thought most efficient tor producingn cure; but
I am confident the deplorable situation Iwos in, the la
ryngitis being accompanied with phtlsfs and great diffi
culty Inbreathing, would soon have terminated my life,
had 1 not obtained relief through tho medium of your In
valuable Sarsaparilla. 1 roust say, gentlemen, whon 1
commenced uafng the Sarsaparilla, l did not place much
confldenco In Its virtues; and this wlU not surpriso you
when you are Informed I had tried more than fifty differ
ent remedies during the past tour years, without any sue-
cess; but after taking your Sarsaparilla n few weeks, 1 was
obliged at last to yield lo evidence. This marvellous spe

bluk It my duty, gentlemen, for Ihe benefit or suffering

No. 22 Beaver-street, N. Y.
Inonrlast number wo accompanied the publication
of n circular on this subject, from our toflow-citizon
Udolpho Wolfe, Esq., with a brief commentary, expres
sive or our own. views. Since then wo have been urn-
S taying this agent and thus far with favorable results.
ut we ora In receipt of several communications on the
snbjcct from medical men, which serve to show Hint Mr.
Wolfe’s Aromatic Sdodnm Bohnapps la very oxlenslvely
In Use, and In tho hands of physicians, 11 proving itself
oa a stimulating diuretic to bo eminently successful after
other medication wllh thla Intent had been tried In vain.
In ono of the cases thus reported abdominal dropsy has
been cured, and the necessity of lapping avortod; und In
another a distressing case or gravel, so called, has been
entirely removed by tho passago of a calculus of con
siderable stxe, which la ascrlbod lo the use of ouly two
bottles of this article.
We know not the object or Mr. Wolfe In designating
his preparation by tho singular unouphodlous name of
“ Schnapps,” nor of his denominating It In his advortlso
mente. tho “concentrated Tlucturo of Juniper,” Instead
of perpetuating Ita undent Utle of Holland Gin. It Is
truo that he admits It to bo nothing else limn the latter
article In lla pure state, unadulterated by uoxiousdrugs,
and hence ho contradistinguishes It from Gin of com
merce, nearly all of which, ns Is well known, is monu-
lactured here and elsewhere from Inferior whiskey and
refuso drugs. Thonamoholias glveu it, however, mny
servo tho purposo ol designating nis article, as prepared
exclusively for medical purposes, nndthus commend it
to physicians for whose convenience It Is on solo only by
roputablo druggists and npothecnrtas.
As respects Ita medicinal and curative efibets, wo un
derstand him to claim only that It Is a pure and reliable
artldeof Holland Gin, and as audi worthy of tho confi
dence of physicians, In those diseases tor which they are
wont to proscribe It, aud have hitherto only been reatrain-

cle. which from timo Immemorial iuu hold ita piece
among the remedial agencies of tho Materia Modloa, If It
be found worthy of oonfldeuco by contluued experience.
At all aVeula, those who peislstin the employmont and
toloratlon or other alcoholic modlplnes, oa tinctures, bit
ters, Ac* and especially thorn who proscribe Gin under
any circumstances, must all unite in glvlngthe preference
to a pure article over the munlfold adulterations ao rife
In the market. Mr. Wolfe liberally supplies phyrioiana
with a sample bottle tor analysis end trial, as set forth in
his circular, and stake the reputation of tho remedy up
on the innocence, safety, nnd efficiency of hit Holland
