Tho extraordinary results which have been produced, both to land and crop from the use of this mix ture, enables him to present It to their consldernllon without resorve, doubt or apprehension of Us certain ■access. It will be found quite ns prompt as Guano; and Us lasting properties only subordinate to lime. It is well known that Guano alone stimulates a powerful crop; but correspondenUy depresses, exhnusls, and Impoverishes tho soil. The combination with the Salto, fires or sul phates tho ammonia which largely exists In G nano, but In a free nnd volatile state: and It therefore cannot es cape, but remains In tho earth, to the great ndvantago of the soil, and succeeding crons. The undersigned Is not «r»to a*B < 'of"th6ee'8»il's'thVMmQ"wUouibocujll v.l«l BIHI croniKd everyaenwn. os they contalo all the elementa that jtlanla re,iilre| nod aupply what eaeh crop toliea There Is no*manure equal to it. Ain com, cotton,Mo ver. or a grain manure. It challenges competition. It Is equally nvnllnble ns to a top dressing, because IU properties sink Into tho earth, Instead of rising thereto)tn, as does Guano. The planter ran. with entire facility, make the mixture himself, If desirable, and thereby save tho freight on tho Guano. Contemplating this Improvement ns a public blessing, and knowing that most orour Atlantic soil needs renove- lion, tho undersigned has gained the consent of Messrs, N. A. Harder 4c Co., of Savannah, to act ns his ngenta for tho State or Georgia. They will receive orders from any port of the State, and tho undersigned will ship to irny portion 6r tho State wheu directed by them. Il ls not designed that Messrs. Uardkr 4c Co. will keep the article on hand, but simply to fornlih the undersigned with the orders, and receive the payment therefor. No order will be supplied except ordered through them. Freight for Baltimore la from 25 to 40 cents per barrel, end the undersigned will agree to present to any charita ble Institution In Georgia two hundred dollars, where any other manure—marsh grass, stable, guano, or it matters not wbat—con be proven to afford greater Improvement to land and crop, than this compound, the oxMrinsentto be tnado (Including the actual cost of labor In applying domestic manures) and undor the Inspection or gentlemen known os careful agriculturists, and who will take suffi cient Interest to give the subject their personal attention. With this explanation the undersigned refers to Ibo an nexed advertisement, wllh the admonition, that those who desire to make the experiment should order early, as the post season many were disappointed by delay, as there were those whom he could not suonly. JOHN KETTLEWElL, Baltimore. N. A. HARDEE 4c CO., Agento, Savannah. Highly Important to Farmers and Planters 1 A NEW ERA IN AGRICULTURAL PROSPECTS. 00HBINAT10N OF . KcttlcwelVa Salt* with Peruvian Guano ! ! G uano made a lasting manure.-r win bo remembered by all who havo rood tho advortlso- men Is of tho undersigned, In the American Farmer, and etsowhere, that ho frankly admitted the superiority Peruvian Guano In the rapid production ofr Wheat ert although he as firmly contended, that his 8alts were l„ more listing* much bettor adapted to the growth of clo ver, with a decided advantage to the land, for a rotation of crops. To this opinion be still adhores, and itbas been oonOrmod by the most extensive experience. The opinion which the undersigned entertained, that a ■ mixture of hla Chemical Salta and Peruvian Guano, would make one ot the most prompt, cheap, and what is of more Importance, lasting manures, known to the age, was most favorably entertained by- tho best practical and scl- • ••• fenttflo chemists In the odunlry, and bos now been demon strated by unquestionably, one or the most accomplished and able chemist* we have. -All who know Dr. David Stewart, will admit that as an agricultural and scientific chemist, he Is second to no man In the nation. For the conclusive and Intelligent reasons upon which these opinions are based, the underslgnod confidently re fers to the communication herewith published. Now the undersigned can testify from his own experience, not only to the liberality and enterprise with which the agri cultural community seek tbo best remedy to renovate tbelr lands, and Increase their crops, but when dlsppolnt- ed In their foil anticipations, the generosity and forbear ance which they manifest to the monufocturer, when thoy bellovn his efforts are honest aud fair. ,1110 undersigned asks no more—wants no more than such a trial. His own foUh in Its entire and unqualified success, Is as strong and stem as waa that of the ancient prophet. He stands not alono In this opinion t it Is firmly sustained by those who aw disinterested, and. whoso opinions are not only enti tled to respect from every quarter, but should disarm the most skeptical from any suspicion of quackery or hum bug. Tho Burner cannot lose by buying ibis mixture. It contains every elomonl the soil requires. There Is noth ing absent-nothing deficient. Instead of exhausting the soil, It gives it permanent Improvement. The under signed, therefore, trusts and earnestly requests that the former who buys five tons of guano, should try, side by aide, fairly and without prejudloe, one or more tons of tills compound. What will It cost f # ton best Peruvian Guano, will cost say |28 50 # ton Chemical Bolts, will cost 10 00 •32 50 therefore, to the cost nor ton, notes much as Patagonia, nor much more than Mexican Guano, and 813 loss than Peruvian, whilst the undersigned sacredly nvurs Ids firm bullor, that for crop and land, wheat and clover. It Is really worth 810 per ton more than even tho best Peru vian Guano. 300 lbs. of the best Peruvian Guano would cost say, •O.UO per acre; 300 lbs. of the Balts nnd Guano would cost *5,04 cents per acre, nosrly *3 loss thou Guano ets. or *38.07 cts. per ton.
