Sweet were the dejre we’ve »peat together, Sad meet the hour of our parting be » Through the broad meadows in summer weather. Pleasant the path that is waiting for thee ; In the red west, where the sun is sinking, Deep through the shadow, lies rnj way And 1 must onward with step unshrinking Thun knowest all that tujr heart would say. What shall 1 give thee for farewoll token ? How shall I speed thee, with love or with eare ? Think of the words that we have spoken. Take them for wishes, and eount them for prayer; Oh ! he thou wise when life, caressing, Would woo thee to Unger, would win thee to stay; Keep in thy soul its earliest blessing— Thou knowest all that my heart would say. Oft o'er my soul will a sudden yearning Bring back the days we are leaving behind, Bring me thy footstep, no longer returning. Bring mo thy greeting, so gay and so kind ; ,llow shall I bless thee? No longer beside thee, I can but love thee, and lose thee, and pray; Yet will God love thee, and keep thee, and guide thee— Thou knowest all that my heart would say ! TERRY DAVIS’ VIiUKTUILi; PAIN KILLER. UJH ASK THE ATTENTION OF THE PUB LIC to this long tested end unrivalled FAMILY MEDICINE. It has been favorably known for tuoro than twenty years, during which timo we have received thousands of testimonials, showing this Medicine to be an almost never-failing remedy for diseases caused by or attendant upon— Sadden Colds, Coughs, Furr and Ague, Headache, Bilious Fever, Pains in the Side. Back and Loins, as icell as in the joints and Limbs; Neuralgia and Rheumatic Fain in any part of the system, Toothache and Pains in the head and face. Asa Blood Purifyer and Tonic for the Stomach, it seldom fails to cure Dyspepsia, Indigestion, Liver Complaint, Arid Stomach, Heartburn, Kidney Complaints, Sick Head ache, Piles, Asthma or Phthisic,Ringworms, Boils , Felons, Whitlows, Old Sores, Swelled Joints, and General Debility of the System. Jt is also a prompt and sure remedy for Cramp and Pain in the Stomach, Painter’s Colic, Diarrluea, Dysentery, Summer Com plaint, Cholera Morbus, Cholera Infantum, Scalds, Burns, Sprains, Bruises, Frost Bites, Chilblains, as well as the Slings of Inserts, Scorpion, Centipedes, and the Bites of Poisonous Insects and Venomous Reptiles. See Directions accompanying each bottle. It has been tried in every baric/y of climate, and by almost every nation known to Ameri cans. It is the almost constant companion and inestimable J) iend of the missionary and the traveller, on land and sea, and no one should travel on our lakes or rivers without it. Prices, 25 cents, 50 cents, and ?! per bottle. Perry Davis’ Pain Killer. —We have often spoken of this great medicine -in terms of very high praise, and we have as often felt that all we could say in its favor would not do it full justice. It is one of those medicines of which we can speak—aud speak decisively—from experience ; for we have repeatedly taken it, and invariably with tho best results and greatest satisfaction. We always keep it on hand, road}' for an emer gency, and we regard it not only as one of the very best medicines in use for various ills, but as one of tho cheapest, also. Its cost, by the way—that is, the cost ot the ingredients of which it is composed—has been considerably increased, but the price of tho medicine has been but very little advanced. It is not likely that the popu larity of Davis’ Pain Killer will in any measure decrease, or that the demand lor it will in the slightest degreo dcclino, until some other specific for allaying pain and auring various complaints for which it is so generally used, shall be dis covered, of equal potency with it—of which there seems to be but little probability. Asa remedy for stomach complaints, such as dysen tery, diarrhoea, etc., tho Pain Killer is, without doubt, unsurpassed, and every where most de servedly in demand. One, two, or three doses, of a teaspoonful each, in a wine glass of milk and water, with a little sugar, have repeatedly, within our knowledge, effectually cured serious trouble of this kind. Judgment should undoubt edly be used in chocking certain stages of diar rhoea too suddenly; but taken at the proper timo, the Pain Killer will act like a charm, and frequently cure whon nothing else will. —Provi dence Advertiser. by all Medicine Dealer;}. nihil— 2m anted.
