At a meeting of tho Augusta Typographi

The Weather.
The most captious individual, in this
locality, can find naught to complain of in
the present delightful spell of weather with
which we are favored. We have never seen
our beautiful City, in her garments of green,
looking more lovely,

The Fillmoreans brought out their new
Steamer, yesterday afternoon, for a test, in
the presence of Mr. Clapp, one of her build
ers. Forty pounds of steam was generated
in six minutes, with which the playing com
menced, through a 11 -16th inch nozzle—the
stream being thrown two hundred and fifteen
feet and ten inches—when a section of the
rubber hose burst.
On account of the disanvantages attend
:ng this test, the steamer will be brought out
/or another trial on Monday evening.
