All the old sage., however indeed
They wrangle anil fight in the bitterest war.
In one thing at least are fully .greed:
To wink at earh other and l.ughiogly say,
' For the uaeniling es fools it is foolish to wait.
Fowls will be fools as certain as fate ;
Sons of Wisdom ! —make’em your tools;
That, only that, is.the use if fools!"
11.
Merlin, (tie ancieut - long in u»y shrouil- |
Where I accosted him onoo in my Tenth,
Uuto my questioning answered aloud,
solemnly <|tesking this notable truth,
"For the'niending of fools it is foolish to wail,
Fools will befools as certain a-' fate;
Son' of Wisdom! mnle'em your tools ;
That, oily that, i« the o-e of fools !”
111
High on the top of an Indian mound
I heard it once in the passing air;
And Egypt's \ nulls deep under the ground
The same old tale were echoing there;
“For the mending of fools it is foolish to wait,
Fowls will bo fools as certain as fate;
Sons of Wisdom ! —inake'em your tools,
That, only that, is the use of fools !”

Ream Davis' Rain Kim.p.r.--W« have often

high praise, and we have a- often tell that ail we
eould say in it - favor would not do it full justice.
It one f»f those medicines of which we can

t >r we have repeatedly taken it, and invariably
with the best repiiit* and greatest Fati-faetion.
We always keep it on hand, ready for an emer

very best medicines in use for various ill?, but
as one of the cheapen!, also. It* cost, by the
way—that i?. the cost ot the ingredients of which
it i? composed ha* been considerably increased,
but the price of the medicine has been but very
little advanced. It i- not likely that the popu

OF DEATHS, that annually
occur, are caused by Prevent
able Diseases, and the greater
portion of those complaints
would, if Itadway’s Ready Re
lief or Pills, (ns the case may
require,) were administered
when pain or uneasiness or
slight sickness is experienced,
be exterminated from the sys
tem in a few hours. PAIN, no
matter from what cause, is
almost instantly cured by the
Ready Relief, In eases of Cho
lera, Diarrhoea, Cramps, Spasms
Bilious Cholic, in fact all Pains,
Aches and Infirmities either in
the Stomach, Bowels, Bladder,
Kidneys, or the Joints, Muscles,
Legs, Arms, Rheumatism, Neu
ralgia, Fever and Ague, Head
ache, Toothache, &c., will in a
FEW MINUTES yield to the
soothing inlluence of the Ready
Relief.
Sudden Colds, Coughs, Influenza, Dip
theria, Hoarseness, Sore Throat, Chills, Fever
and Ague, Mercurial Pains, Scarlet Fever,
&c., &c., take from four to six of Radway’f
Pills, and also take a teaspoonful of the
Heady Relief in a glass of warm water, sweet
ened with sugar or honey ; bathe the throat,
head and clicst with Ready Relief, (if Ague
or Intermittent Fever, bathe the spine also,)
in the morning you will be cured.
How the Ready Relief Acts!
In a few minutes the patient will feel a
slight tingling irritation, and the skin be
comes reddened; if there is much distress in
the stomach, the Relief will assist nature in
removing the offending cause,—a general
warmth is felt throughout the entire body,
and its diffusive stimulating properties
rapidly courses through every vein and tissue
of the system, arousing the slothful and
partially paralyzed glands and organs to re
newed and healthy action, perspiration fol
lows, and the surface of the body feels in
creased heat. The sickness at stomach, colds,
chills, head-ache, oppressed breathing, the
soreness of the throat, and all pains, either
internally or externally, rapidly subside, and
the patient falls into a tranquil sleep, awakes
refreshed, invigorated, cured.# '1
It will bo found that in using the Reliet
externally, either on the spine or across the
kidneys, or over the stomach and bowels, that
for several days after a pleasing warmth will
bo felt, showing the length of time it con
tinues its influence over the diseased parts.

RADWAY'S REGULATING PILLS.
“ The Faculty of the College state in their

injurious to health, but are composed wholly
of substances and elements promotive of

ael favorably upon the nervous system, &c.,
&e. They state, further, that tho injurious
‘ rumors set afloat by the Prussian apothe
caries originated “in a mean spirit of trade

tained by the Pills within a very brief

DR. HESSE, First Assistant,
mDIGESTION !
In cases where natural evacuations are
difficult to secure, and a quick discharge is
essential, take six of Radway’s Pills and pul
verize them, —take Hie pill powder in water
or preserves,—in half an hour they will ope
rate. We have known the most distressing
pains of Gastritis, Bilious Cholic, Inflamma
tion, Congestion, &c., stopped, and the re
tained irritating humora expelled from the
bowel* in thirty minutes by this treatment.
It is however, better in chronic cases to take
the pills as they are, and let them gradually
dissolve in the stomach. These Pills possess
in tlw highest degree cathartic, aperient,
tonic, and diapharetic properties. They do
do not weaken or debilitate the system or
anv of its organs, and will leave tho bowel*
regular and healthy. They purify and equal
ize the circulation of the blood. No conges
tion or inflammation will occur ..while the
system is under their influence.'* Price 26

One teaspoonful of the Resolvent is suffi
