It cures rheumatism, neuralgia, bilious rbolie, and inflammation of the kid - neys, almost instantly. If seized with sudden colds, coughs, influenza, diptherin, hoarse ness, sore throat, chills, fever and ague, mercurial pains, scarlet fever, etc., etc., take from four to six of Railway’s Pills, and also take a teaspoonful of the Ready Relief in a glass of warm water, sweetened with sugar or honey ; bathe the throat, head and chest with Ready Relief, (if ague or inter mittent fever, bathe the spine also), in the morning you will be cured. How the Relief acts.—ln a few minutes the patient will feel a slight tinging irrita tion, and the skin becomes reddened ; if there is much distress in the stomach, the Relief will assist nature in removing the offending cause—a general warmth is felt throughout the entire body, and its diffusive stimulating properties rapidly courses through every vein and tissue of the system, arousing the slothful aud partially paraly zed glands and organs to renewed and healthy action ; perspiration follows, and the body feels increased heat. The sickness at stomach, colds, chills, headache, oppress ed breathing, thesorencss of the throat, mid all pains, cither internally or externally, rapidly subside, and the patient falls into a tranquil sleep, awakes refreshed, invigor ated, cured. It will be found that in using tho Relief externally, cither on the spine or across the kidneys, or over the stomach and bowels, that for several days after a pleasing warmth will be felt, showing the length of time it continues its influence over the diseased parts. Price of R. R. R. Relief, 50 cents per bottle. Sold by druggists and country merchants, grocers, etc. See Had way’s Almanac for 1868. [Advertisement.] It. It. It. Dili*. Washington, June 8. — Senate: The Pen sion Committee reported adversely on the bill providing that marriage shall not forfeit a widow’s pensiou. A joint resolution removing Harper's Ferry seat from Jefferson county, Virginia, to the United States Circuit Court, passed. Willey maintained Unit it wus impossible to obtain a fair trial in Jufferson county, on account of the hostility of the 'people to the United States. The omnibus admission bill was resumed, and an amendment restoring Alabama to the list discussed all day without a vote. House ;i The Judiciary Committee was directed to inquire why Davis’ trial was delayed. Tho bill appropriating the money for the capture of Mr. Davis was referred to the Appropriation Committee. The bill for inaugurating the Southern State officers, and convening the Legisla tures, was referred to the Reconstruction Committee. A resolution receiving the Chinese em bassy at 11 o'clock to-qiorrow was adopted. The Spekker announced a petition from Woolley. Butler moved its reference to the Corrup tion Committee. The Democrats objected, because only two of the Committee were in the city. After discussion, the petition was referred, without being read, by a vote of G-l to 31. Eldridge moved to suspend the rules to receive the purgation of Woolley. Negatived. A resolution bringing Woolley to the bar of the House was adopted, when, after hearing questions somewhat indefinitely stated, anil with tho understanding that it was by order of the House, Woolley declared his willingness to answer. The Conference Committee’s report on the admission of Arkansas was adopted, and the report having been adopted by both Houses, it goes to the President. The Senate then took a recess. Woolley remains in custody, awaiting the Committee’s convenience. Washington Items. Washington, June 7.—The Chinese dine with the President Tuesday. Twenty two thousand dollars were col lected and paid to the President's counsel. The Corruption Committee give no intima tion of their intention regarding Woolley, who shows no indication of yielding. There are 40,000 gallons of whiskey in bond, waiting tho reduction of the tax. [second dispatch.] Washington, June B.—The Corruption Committee ol investigation, under Butler and Logan, who alone of the seven arc pi'esout, arc taking ait alarmingly whin range. Nothing authentic is known beyond the gossip of witnesses, but enough has trans pired to create a geueral scare among poli ticians. A distrust of Butler is growing. An early discharge of the Committee from further investigation is probable. While the City Council was organizing in a secret but stormy session, a row of some kind occurred inside, causing a half dozen policemen to obtrude on the secrecy of the session by jumping into the windows. It is impossible to obtain a detail of the trouble. Each party elected presiding officers of each board, and when Council met in joint session two Presidents were present. Amid intense excitement the Republican President declared Bowen elected, and lie was sworn in, under the noisy protests of the Conserva tive President and members. Wallach has locked the office of the Mayor, and mutters are progressing very noisily. [third dispatch.) Washington, June 8. Shortly after being sworn, Bowen, with the aid of a lock smith, took possession of the Mayor's office. The Republican Aldermen adjourned to noon to morrow. The Conservatives issued a proto.-1 against Bowen. Mayor Wallach lias issued a proclamation acknowledging the returns, which give tho Conservatives a joint ballot. 'I he Republicans have possession of the original vote, and the Conservatives have a certified copy. Iho Republican wing of the lower board adjourned to Monday, ami tho Conservative wing adjourned to 11 to morrow. No damage was done at City Hall. The violence was confined to snatching papers and pushing each other from positions. Tl.o populace was kept from the Ilall by ropes. The Post Office Committee have agreed unanimously to report adversely to building a government telegraph hence to New York. The debt statement shows an increase of gold bearing notes of fifty seven and a half millions ; currency hearing notes decreased fifty seven aud a quarter millions; matured debt increased three millions ; bearing no interest increased ouc million; total debt increased four millions, but owing to a decrease in cash the real debt has increased nine and three quarter millions. Gold in the Treasury ninety and a quarter millions ; currency forty three and a quarter millions. Virginia Affairs. Washington, June B.—The municipal election at Galena, 111,, Grant's home, 'went Democratic by two hundred and lifty ma jority. Tho Democrats have carried Racine, Wis consin. Chabluston, Juno B.—Returns from the county elections held last week show that the Republicans havo again carried most of the counties, but by reduced majorities. Many counties in the interior, which gave Republican majorities iu April, have now elected Democratic county tickets. 111 some of these the registration list showed a large negro majority, so that hundreds of negroes must have voted the Democratic ticket, and hundreds more have not voted ut all. The Duel. Richmond, June 7.—The parties to tho recent duel between Colonel Reed and Major Porter havo boon placed uudor arrest by General Granger. The affair was brought to official notice through a letter to tho Editor es the Southern Opinion, signed by them, threatening to hold him personally responsible if ho commented on tho duel. Gen.
