Tho Curative Principle of Sar saparilla enters largely into the composition of 3i?U BU &«t RESOLVENT One Bottle of Resolvent Better than Ten Large Bottles of Sarsaparilla, One Bottle will Purify the Blood, anfc F- el Corruption from the Body! So itcift u this remedy in entering into tho circulation, that it hat lecn detected in the Hood and urine in ta minttlee after it hat been taken. 1 BETTER THAN 10 It. 11. R. Resolvent cures with astonishing rapidity every form of Chronic, Scrofulous and Skin Diseases, and exterminates all corruption from the human system. Ono bottle of Dr. Railway’s Renovating Re fiolrent contains more of tho active curative principles of the best Jamaica Sarsaparilla, (Sarsaparillian,) than Ten of the largest size bott'.es of the mixture sold under the name of Sarsaparilla. The process adopted by Dr. Radway iu securing extracts (prepared in vacuo,) of Medicinal Roots, Plants, Herbs, and other vegetables possessing great curative proper ties over Scrofula, Chronic, Syphilitic and all shin diseases, that enters into the com position of the Renovating Resolvent, pro duces only ONE OUNCE of the pure extract out of 20 lbs. of the crude roots. The Inert matter that enters so generally in the large bottle mixtures and prepared under the offi cinal or pharmacopeia formula, is, by Dr. Railway's process, cast aside as rubbish.® One teaspoonful of the Resolvent is suffi cient for a dose for all Skin Diseases, Salt Rheum, Pimples, Blotches, Sores and Erup tions of the Skin, Humors in the Blood, &c. One teaspoonful, three times per day, will, In a few days, make the Blood pure, the Skin clear, the Eyes bright, the Complexion smooth and transparent, the Hair strong, and remove all Sores, Pimples, Blotches, Pustules, Tet ters, Cankers, &c., from tho Head, Face, Neck, Mouth and Skin. It is pleasant to take, and the dose is small. 6 The first dose that is taken seizes on the disease and commences its work of resolring away all diseased deposits, Purifying the Blood, and driving corruption from the system. 0 The Renovating Resolvent, if used in any of the following named complaints, will posi tively euro tho patient: Skin lAisenses, Carles of the Hunci, Humors In the Blood, ComliUitionnt, Chronic and Scrofulous Diseases, Scrofula, Syphilis, Fever Sores, Fleers, Sait Rheum, Erysipelas, Rick* els, Scald dead, Sore Legs, Cankers, Clnnduiar Swellings, White Swellings, Boils, Nodes, Sore Ears, Sore Eyes, Strumous Discharges from the Ear, Op tliaimia, Stch,Constiutiu:tl Debil ity, Wasting and Decay of the Body. The annual reports of the Health Com tni -sioners of different cities, show a great increase of deaths from diseases of the Kid neys and Urinarv Organs—RADWAY’S RENOVATING RESOLVENT is the only remedy that bat dittolred calculous concretion. Its SOLVENT, diuretic, lithontriptic and Uni; properties exceed that of any medi cine iu the world: it readily assimilates with the fluids, and promotes their exit through tiie Kidneys, Ureter and Bladder, removing calculous obstructions, and correcting all de rangements of these orgaus. So acift it thii remedy tn patting into tnecir eulation, that it has been detected in the urine u* ex minutei after it has been taken ; by adding to the liquid when cold a few pieces of starch, thou a few drops of nitric acid, the liquid will change to a blue color. When brick dnst, or a thick white deposit, like the white of an egg, (albumen,) is detected in the ve»- gei, or bloody discharges from the urethra, or micturating in drops, accompanied by a burning or scalding pain—the RESOLVENT should be used, and R. R. RELIEF rubbed on t'ae spine. &c. RADWAY’S PILLS being an aperient, soothing, and tonic laxative, are the only purgative medicine safe to administer in these difficulties; their mild, soothing and healing properties produce evacuations with out irritating the mucous membranes of the bowels kidney , ureter, bladder, fire., or causing straining when at stool. Parti cular care is given to the execution of the accurate drawings which must always accompany every application for a patent, and they employ none but the most efficient draughtsmen. The beet evidence of the manner in which Messrs, ftltowa, Coombs Sc Co.’s business is performed, is, that the “Ameh ican Artisan Patent Agency," during the three years of its existence, has been the most successful institution of the kind ever established. The principal offices of Messrs. Brown.Coombs Sc Cos. are situated at 18!) Broadway, opposite John street, New York, in the most central part of the city. This location is one of very easy access by strangers inasmuch as it is within a stone's throw from the City Hall. All inventors temporarily so jouruing in the metropolis are invited to visit this establishment. In|t lie majority of instance uo model or drawing of an invention will be necessary on the first interview, as a mere oral description by the visitor will ordinarily suffice to convey such aknowledge of his invention ns will enable Messrs. Brown, Coombs tc Cos. to definitely determine whether a machine or process is new or old—paten table or not. The office hour? will be from ft a. m. to 5 p. M. Messrs. Brown, Coombs «Sc Cos. are prepared to furnish to persons residing at a distance from New York—free of charge —written opinions as to whether inventions contain any features ot paten table novelty: to do this they simply require a sketch or rough model of the machine or other in vention that is supposed to be new, together with a brief description of tbe r-ame, and as soon as pos sible thereafter a letter of the best advice is mail ed to the person desiring the information. These opinions are formed from their own mature exper ience; but if an inventor desires to know, positively, whether his incipient idea has ever been embodied in a machine or process already patented, his wisest course will be to have a preliminary examination made at the United States Patent office by Messrs. Brown, Coombs &. Cos., who will make a special searclijamong all the records of that institution, and then promptly forward a full and carefully written report as to the patentability of the invention un der examination. For this labor the small fee of s.j is payable in advance; and the leiuittauce should he accompanied by a sketch of the invention and a few liues of writing describing the same, and distinctly stating those points of novelty which the inventor desires to have protected by Letters Patent, Patents for new and useful iuveutious are now granted for the term of seventeen teaks. The first instalment ofthe Government fee is sls, which sum—together with fifty cents revenue stamp-tax on the power of attorney—is payable in advance , on applying for the patent; and S2O additional are due to the Government when the Letters-Patentare allowed. The Agency fee is from $25 upward, ac cording to the labor involved, but in all cases our charges will fee as moderate as possible in the pre paration of drawings and all necessary documents. This fee is not payable until after the application has been prepared aud the case is ready to be sent to Washington. Messrs. Brown. Coombs «fc Cos. have a bronchia Washington so that all applica tions made through them can have every necessary attention in their passage through the Patent Office Inventors applying for patents must furnish models of their machines, whenever possible, for the inspection of the Examiners in the Patent Office; but if the invention is a chemical composi tion, samples of all the ingredients will be neces sary. Each of these should he marked with thejin veutor’s name, then carefully boxed, and sent (by express, prepaid), together with the first instalment of the Government fee. to Messrs Brown, Coombs & Cos. When the model is small and light, it can be conveniently ami cheaply sent by mail The model must nut exceed one foot in any of itsdiuieus ions, unless it is of such a diameter that it U im practicable. Patents, except tlm.-w* for designs, are granted on equal terms t-> citizens aud all foreigners.except inhabitants of Canada and some others of the British American Provinces. Besides patents ‘or new aud usefu. inventions, there are also granted patents for design*. Design-patents are imt now. as formerly, limited strictly to am a mental configuration-, but under Section II of the Act of March 2. 1861, any new /ormofany article, orany impress/an or figure upon the surface of any article or material, by whatever means or process produced, call he patented. Un der this Act. patentees are entitle! to the exten sion of their respective patents for the term of seren years from the day on which said patents shall ex pire, upon the same terms nnd restrictions as arc now provided for the extensions of Letters Patent. Among the numerous subjects f*»i patents of this class may be particularly mentioned--castings of all metals, pait* of machines, household furniture and utensils; glassware, hardware »»!' ail kinds, cornices, aud other interior and exterior decorations of buildings; also, designs fur woven and printed fabrics, dress and upholstery trimmings, and har ness labels and trade marks fur medicines, per fumery, and all preparations, compositions, or inercliandi-e, put up in bottles, boxes, or other packages, are suitable subjects; also, the forms of such bottles, boxes, or packages themselves, and envelopes, likewise all works of art, as statuary, busts, compositions in alto or basso-relievo. The Government fee on a design-patent for years is $10: 7 years. sls: 11 years. S3O. No models of oesigns are required : but duplicate drawings <>r photographs must be furnished- The specification to accompany the drawings or photographs re tjuires to be prepared with great care. Messrs Brown. Coom bs & Cos. give very particular at tention to this branch of their business. Their charge for preparing applications for design-patents is generally about sls. Design patents are only granted to American citi/.ensor to aliens who have resided one year in the United States and made oath of their intention to become citizens thereof. The facilities of Messrs. Known. Coombs A: Cos. for obtaining patents in trie various European countries are equal if not superior to those ol any other iu the United States. With regard to their qualifications for such business, it need only be stated that Mr. Brown, while with Messrs. Mi nn & Cos. aud in his previous practice, and since the establishment of tbe “Americas A ktisan Patent Agency, ” has had the preparation of more Euro pean applications than any othei person in this country, Messrs. Brown, Coombs *v Cos., besides having a branch office in Wash i ngton, have their own agencies in the principal capitals of Europe. A circular relating to foreign patent business will be furnished free on r lication personally or l y mail. Messis. Brown, C< mbs & Cos. also attend to in terferenceSj the extensions of expiring letters Patent, and all proceedings relating to patents be fore the United States Patent Office.
