Perry Bavisd; Ron, Providence, R. f..- Dear Sirs—During » residence of some ten years as a Missionary in Siam and Chinn, 1 found ’ your vegetable Pain Killer a most, valuable 1 remedy for that fearful scourge, the Cholera. In ndnihiistering the medicine, I found it most etiectmd to givfc a t<xis|HH>nfnl of Pain Killer in a • gill of lot water eweeteni-d with sugar; 'then, • after about fifteen begin to give, a table - spoonful of the same mixtiue every minute until . relief was obtained. Apply hot applicat ions to the extremities. Bul-he the stomach with Pain . Killer, dear and nil; tin- linibn briskly. Os those , who bad Uie cholera, and took the medicine faith , fully iu the way statad above, eiglrt out of ten recovered. Yours, truly, R TELFORD. Manhattan, Kansas, April 17, J 866. Gentlemen— * " ' 1 want to say a little more about tlie Pain Killin'. J consider it a very valuable lueiiiciue, aud always keep it on Manrt. I have travelled a good deal since I nave been in Kansas, find never without taking it with me. In my practice I used it freely for the Asiatic Cholera, ill 18 ksf, and with better sncw-sS than any other uiedicine; I also med it here for eholetu in 1855, with the same goad result. Truly, yours, ■ A. HUNTING, M. I>. Bwato, ChiSa. I***l regret to say that the cholera has prevailed here of lata to a fenrl'nl eyfont. Fur the last three weeks, from leu to. fifty of 4xty fatal cases each day has been re ppi-ted.* 9 should add that the Pain Killer, sent recently |rom the Mireion Heqsa, has been used with coiisiilerable. snouess during this epidemic. If taken In season is generally etfi-efuai iu elieek iiig the disease, Rjtv. CHARLES HAHDINIG. 'Sholapore, India. [From the Portland Monthly.! Summer Complaint and Dysentery. Bowel complaints seem just now to be 5 the prevailing element, and any medicine that, is everywhere acceptable, and that is reliable, 1 is a very desirable acquisition.’ From what we knve seen, heard, and experienced, we believe Davis' Fain Killer is this desideratum. For , tfco4est method of using it, we quote from the directioff: “For-coiUmon bovyel complaints, giye oue-lea spqonful in ft gill of new milk ana molasses, in equal parts, stirred well together ; lessen the dose tor children, according to the age. If the pain be severe, bathe tlie bowels aud back with the medi cine. This mode of treatment iu good in cases of the clislcri morbus, sudden stoppages, etc. Re peat Uie dose every hour. “The qaickest way I ever saw the dyseigtry cured was by taking one spoonful of tlie Pain Killer in one and molasses elirred well tota’the«ml||MpMnidt, at flic game tinie bathing the In>w?Ts freely with medicine. Let the dose lie repeated every hour until the patient is relieved.” If every person who Ims reason to fear this disease would provide themselves with a bottle of this medicine, and use as occasion required, w« believe a great amount of suffering and sickness would lie saved. jel2—2ni Special Notice.
