Washington', Pa., June 25,1866.
Messrs. Perry Davis d: Hon Providence, R.1..-
Dear Sirs—Daring a residence of some ten
years as a Missionary in .Siam and China, I found
your vegetable Paui Killer a moat valuable
remedy for tlmt fearful scourge, the Cholera.
In administering tbe medicine, I found it most
effectual to give a teaspoonful of Pain Killer in a
gilt of hot wr.ter sweetened with sugar,- then,
after about fifteen minutes, begin to give a table
spoonful ot the same mix I uro every minute until
relief was obtained. Apply hot applications to
the extremities. Bathe the stomach with Pain
Killer, clear aud rub the limbs briskly. Os those
who had the qliolera, and took the medicine faith
fully in the Way stated above, eight ont of ten
recovered. Yours, truly,
R TELFORD.
If an attack with Diarrhoea, Dysentery, or
Cramp Colic, don’t delay (he use of the Pain
Killer. Sold by all medicine dealers. Price, 25
cents, 50 cents, aud $1 per bottle.

more about the Pain fV'i.rafs keep it on band.
ro/Ai<’AV. l gwrteit w good deal since I have been in
Kansas, and never without taking it with me.
In my practice I used it freely for the Asiatic
Cholera, in 1819, aud with better success than any
other medicine: I also used it here for cholera iu
1855, with the same good result.
Truly, yonrs, A. HUNTING, SI. D.
- Swato, China.
Cholera! * * * I regret to say that the
cholera has prevailed here of late to a fearful
extent. For tho last three weekq, from ten to
fifty or sixty fatal cases each day has been re
ported. 1 sftoQld add that the Pain Killer, sent
recently from the Mission House, has been used
with considerable success dining this epidemic.
If taken in season is generally elfectnal in check
ing the disease.

(From the Portland Monthly.l
Summer _ Complaint and Dysentery.
Bowel complaints seem jnst now to lie the
•lament, and any medicine that is
everywhere acceptable, ...ta umt is reliable, is a
very desirable acquisition. From what we have
seen, heard, an<l experienced, we believe Davis'
Pain Killer is this desideralum. For the best
method of using it, we quote from the directions:
“Forcommon bowel complaints, give one tea-
BJlwtnui iu Orel! of new nnrl TnotaoAeH. in
equal parts, stirred well together; lessen tbe dose
for children, according to the age. If the pain be
severe, bathe tlie bowels and bark with the medi
cine. This mode of treatment is good in cases of
the cholera morbus, sudden stoppages, etc. Re
peat tbe dose every hour.
“The quickest way I ever saw the dysentery
cured was by taking one s;>oonful of the Pain
Killer in one' gill of milk and molasses stirred
well together and drank hot, at tbe same time
bathing tho bowels freely with medicine. Let
tlie dose be repeate d every bonr until the patient
is relieved.”
If every person who has reason to fear this
disease would provide themselves with a bottle
of this medicine, and use as occasion required, we
believe '.great amount of sulferiug anil sickness
would b tsaved. "jel2—2m
