Last week they returned, having spent only five hundred dollars ; the woman sues for forgiveness. A special election was held in the Marietta (Ohio) District on Saturday, to fill the vacancy in the Ohio House of Representatives made by the death of Hon. A. L. Haskins. Mr. Green, the Republican candidate, was elected by a majority of 400, a gain of 48 over the majority for Gov. Cox. —There seems to be no doubt that there will be a speedy re-organization ol the Cabinet, in consequence of the Pres ident’s veto. Mr. Seward, two gentle men from the Southern States, and either Reverdy Johnson or Senator Cowan, of Pennsylvania, will have seats in the new Cabinet.
