6ATURDAY MORNING March 17,18 M
[From the Dublin Unirenity Magazine.]
Spring.
Spring !• if coming!
With her sunshine and her shower;
Heaven it ringing with the singing
(Kibe birds in brake and bower.
Buds are filling, leaves are swelling.
Flowers in field and bloom on tree;
O'er the earth and air and ocean
Nature holds her jubilee.
Soft then stealing comes a feeling
O’er my bosom tender!/;
Sw.eatly X ponder, as I wander,
For iny musings are of thee.
Spring is coming—Spring is coming!
With her mornings fresh anil light,
With her noons of chequered glory,
Sky of blue and clouds of white.
Calm grey light falls, when the uightfalls
Fnun the star bespangled sky
While the splendor pale and tender,
Os the young m-*on gleams on high.
Still at noon, at morn, a: even,
Spring is full ot joy for me;
For 1 ponder as 1 wander.
And my musings aro of thee.
Stil on thee my thoughts aro dwelling,
Whatao’er thy Mine may he;
Beautiful, beyond words telling.
Is thy presence unto me
Morning's breaking finds thee waking,
Wanderiag in the breeze’s flight;
Noontide's glory mantles o’er thee
Ii shower, of sunny light ;
Daylight’s dying leaves thee lying
the silvery twilight ruy
Stars look brightly on thee nightly,
Till the coming of the day. %
Everywhere and every minute
Feel I near thee, loveiy oue ;
In tlffe lark and in the linne%
I can hear thy joyous tone.
Bud aod bloom now mark the coming
Os thy feet o’er vale and hill;
And thy presence with life's essence,
Makes the lb-est’s heart to fill. *
Low before thee, 1 adore thee,
Love creative, thee I sing ; *
Now 1 meet thee, and I greet thee
Py the holy name of Simusc ?
