Blobbs’ Diseases. —While going up
Droad attest the other day, Blobbs’ fcce was
rather flushed, either from rapid walking
or from the way the Fenians got after him,
when he met a friend who queried 'him
thusly, looking him in the face :
“Hello ! Blobbs, ’Ary-slpelas V*
“Nary-sippelas !” was Blobbs’ sententious
bu t emphatic reply.
But Blobbs met him afterwards, and asked
him if ho had heard that the “collery” was
here ?
“No !** alarinodly answered his friend ;
“what cholera—the Asiatic ?”
“No ; the paper collar-y,” said Blobbf,
darting into the St. Nicholas’ Saloon, and
taking a smile at friend John through a
glass.
History ok a Typo.—Printers beat
the world and .11 the rest of mankind, hut
their wives. We know of one who preached
the gospel, ran a side ehow to a circus, kept
a singing school, drove a stage coach, ran
away with a man’s wife and two children,
practiced medicine, been an agent for a con
cert troupe, and clerk of a steamboat. He
has now reformed, and settled down to a
legitimate busiuess—that of localising for a
daily newspaper. He will make his mark
in the course of time.
