has deposited several thousand dollars
in her own name in a National Bank in
New York. She says sho intends to
purchase an iron-clad, and name it
George Frauds Train 1 1 This has caused
some uueasiness among the Fenian au
thorities, and Stephens is taking efforts
to get possession of the money.

Cheap Boarding. —The competition
among the steamship lines running be
tween Savannah and New York has
reduced the fare to less than paying
rates. One of the Savannah papers
says that the fare by the “Empire Line”
is only $lO, with excellent accommoda
tions. This is cheaper than paying
house rent and board at home iu the
cities.
