Sad Circumstance at Baaiduug.—A correspondent of the Charleston Eteuiuy Xeirs gives an account of a -ad occurrence at Hamburg, on tho South Carolina Kail Road, on Friday evening la-t. A fearful tornado swept over the village, demolishing trees and everything in its track, including the building of tho Allen Lodge, used at the time as a school room, by Mr. Robert Sea brook and*fois sister. The children were having a party, when the bu I Lug was crushed in, killing eight and severely injur ing several others. The scene was aw ml and heart-rendiug iu the extreme, and a gloom lias been cast over the quiet village j which will not soon be lifted. The Central Rail Road to Macon. —We are gratified to announce that the Central Rail Road will bo completed to M.ico'n on Saturday next, and the trains will run through by Monday The work of reconstructing the Rail Roads gets a’ong more rapidly and more satisfactorily than tho work of reconstructing the Union. Recorder's Court.— Councilman Evans presided in this Court yesterday, hut there were only a few cases disposed •!—a couple of white, and a couple of black delin quents, were allowed the privilege of con tributing to rh* financial resources of tLe city or take it out in work on the streets.
