—Philadelphia is dissatisfied because
none of her citizens have represented
the State in the United States Senate
for thirty-five years, and none have filled
the Governor’s chair for sixty years.
—The Brooklyn, N. Y., Board of
Education declined to admit negro
children into the schools of that city on
an equality with white ones.
