Sec. I. Be it Ordained by the City\Coun
cil of Augusta, and it ie hereby ordained
by the authority of the same, That on the

second Saturday in Janaary, 1868, and
every year thereafter, there shall be elected
by the City Council, an Officer to be known
as City Assessor, who shall, before entering
upon the duties of his office, give bond in
the sum of Fire Thousand Dollar!, and
take and subscribe to the following oathi'
