G RAB EEN BERG M E D I C1NES.—The Graefenburg Compound Sarsaparilla is given up,by all who have occasion to test its virtue, to be the must genuine and valuable Sarsaparilla that is now offered to the public. The Gaefeuburg Health Bitteis, Eye Lotion, &c., ure now extensively used by some f the most respectable citizens of Savannah, all of whom have spoken in the highest terms of their vnluo; and itisn fact worthy of note, that if any person buys one of these articles, they are sure to return and purchase again. The Agent has always on hand a supply of Sar- rsapurilla Compound; Vegetable Pills; Fever and Ague Pills; Health Bitters; Eve Lotion; Consumptives Balm; Uretine Catholecon; Green Vountain Ointment; Children’s Panacea; very valuable spring Medicine for children; Dysentery Syrup and Pile Ointment, both of which are warranted to cure—no cure, no pay. SARSAPARILLA. The Sarsaparilla Compound of this company is almostlil- erally a sulphate of sarsaparilla. So high ly concentrated is it hat the dose is but die half of a very small teaspoonful, while the dose of that whichis sold in large bottles is nearly a wine g ass tul. In addition to Sarsaparilla i contains a powerful concentration of mandrake, bur-dock,queens-deliglit, elder yellow dock gui- ncum, nndother important medicaments whichare not found in any other preparation. In consequence of this unpardonable dilution, and of the imperfect modes of extracting, the noble and healthgiving Sarsaparilla has passed through many changes in the estimation of medi cal men. Properly prepared and of proper strength it is the most powerful ngent in the world to cleanse the system from its foulest taints. This Compound is prepared on an entirely new plan, by costly and elaborate machinery, oy means of which all the delicate proparttics of Sarsaparilla anil otheringredionts are obtained in their highest degree of excellence. The inert feculent matter which encumbers all other Sar saparilla preparation is also precluded from this Compound by the same means. One bottle of the Graefenbecg Sarsaparilla will go as far as ten buttles of ordinary Sarsaparilla, and is, therefore, TEN TIMES CHEAPER Price $1. Gkntlkmkn : I have just'bad a conversation with one of my Northern brethren, who pro fesses to he enlightened upon the point which I inquired about last week, ns to wnut is the ob ject of the AheliUunists. He disclaims for them all idea attempting Or in tending to dissolve, or even entertaining an'idea that the Union cun he dissolved. But that they intended to ugitutatc the question till the South will he obliged to abolish slavery, us tho price upon which they cun remain connected with the North, and that: they fully‘believe that you can not live by yourselves ; mid furthermore, that you dnro apt offeror resistance, for four that the slaves would “turn upon and rend you.” Upon, both of those points 1 desire to oflhr these uniiilovraed, agitators, my advice for what it may be worth, and correcting this prevailing error. Heretofore if. lias been the policy of nil the South to grow cotton, rice, sugar, tilhaetto artd corn, which, together with tho products from her inexhaustible forests of pitch pine, she has exchanged for tho mnnuluntures of New England, to the mutual advantage of both parlies. ' But is that any reason why she cannot man ufacture everything required at home? And your insane und suicidiul course is fast awtikeir iag the people of this country to that very object! Leaving out of consideration the cotton spin dles and looms- und machine shops of »al rious kinds in- this city, that are driven by stmini, I can show you within a few hours fide over a v ry good railroad, as perfect u manufac turing village and well managed cotton fuctory; driven by water, und worke4 by natives of Booth Carolina,, as can hi found in the United Btutes. And there ngb mnny others, some operated by whites and Some by blacks) and there is u good water power, and as healthy locations and as cheap livin':, in Bouth Caro lina hs in MassaoliusutU. Why then cannot she manufacture for herself? In heavy cotton goods, she is ulready doing it, cheaper than can possibly he done in any Norlhehi State. And her nearest Southern sister is rapidly becoming a manufacturing Slate, not only of cottons, hut of a great variety of “Yankee Notions.” 1 was in U pail und tub factory at Columbus, Ga.i lust spring, that can make the’articles at less than tlio freight usually charged upon such 3 things from New York. There is not one single thing now imported from the North, hut what cun ho manufactured here just as well as there, except, ice, and oven tlmt, the rapidly, lcnglhening railroad will soon bring down front the mountains of North Cmo- lina or Tennessee, and out oil' the supply Iryui the North ns well us more than one half of your exports, unless the sober second tin.uglu ol the sober part of the Community shall induce every real und true friend to this Union to rise upas one man, und say to the little bund of dema gogues und disorganising fanatics tlmt are sow ing the seeds of disunion as tlie spirit of des truction souelli the whirlwind, that he niay reap the tempest for u harvest—“thus far bus political abolition gone on unheeded, but it shall go no further." The year 1350 is a year of a crisis in the welfare of the Union, Be assured qf that. I speak to you earnestly and truly, and in the full conviction that I am well informed as cny man can he who has travelled extensively through all the Southern States for many mouths, und been in social and intimate connection with many intelligent men, tlmt there is a fixetj determination to ccuso to call you brothers, unless you ceuso to call the people of the South by the' opprobrious names constantly heaped upon them; and all for wliat? Why, because they persist in exercising their qqustitatiomd right to own their birthright inheritance in ne gro slaves; and unless you cease to disturbe ibose relations tlmt have and must exist be tween the master nnd bis servants, the days of the Union arc numbered. Thcreamist be subordination, but not cruel ty. And I venture to assort that nine-tenths of the punishments inflicted upon tho negrpess ip this city,'arise out of acts of insubordination taught them by the most wicked interference of their Worst enemies, the, intermeddling aboli tionists: wlio, in teaching .hem wild and vague notions 'or expectations of emancipation, arp guilty of greater cruelty tdthern than their mast ers ever were. It is teachiiVg them to be dis contented with their condition in life, without nay hope of improving it. Upon the plantations the yegrocs never talk of emancipation—they have little conception of the meuning of the word. Ask them if they would like to be free, and per haps one half of them will answer yes, but the other half will give you a decided negative. They w ill tell you that they aro very well off now, nnd don’t want to change. They have sense enough to inquire how and where they are to live, nnd who will feed and clothe them, and THOS. RYF.RRON.
