Strange Disappearance of Murdock, the Tragedian.—We dropped into the Theetrea w minutes Inst night to hem- Mr. Murdock, ns Othello. M. yesterday, and the hnnge had been made on this account. In jury and search had been made for him, but ip to the hour of opening, no clue could he found as to liis whereabouts. Fears were en- ertained that he had walked out and fallen down in a fit, hs he is subject to a tendency if blood to the head, and search was made for liim but without success. Thk' Crops.—Extract of a letter from a ighly respected and extensive planter, dated— "Periit County, (Ala.) April 16, 1350. ‘‘Tho rains, of which you speak, have been hared liberally by us. The wet and cold have ilted most of tho cotton suud in the ground, uino persons are plunfing over—others nro ailing, hoping thnt fuvorab’lo weather may vo them u stund. No acre of ground has tho ftieth pun of a stand.
