H AVING received n small supply ol TEA NUTS, collected at great expense of money und labor, iu the middle districts of China, from the most cele brated Ten Plantations of tbe Empire, I am prepared to fulfil my engagements by accommodating the pub lic with a share of the Nuts received. My main ob ject i- to plant and cultivate; hut ns 1 am quite cer tain that 1 have obtained, after the labor of three years, the best quality of Ten Nuts, I nm disposed to meet the wishes ot the public, and to share them with others.—Tea Nuts gathered in the neighborhood of Canton are scarcely worth cultivating, on account of the inferior quality of the Tea. It is obviously the interest of the planter to submit to an increased ex pense, to secure n superior quulity of Tea Nut, in es tablishing a Tea Plantation, whether large or small. In prosecuting this urduous undertaking, I am in fact acting ns an agent for tlie benefit ot the public. Neither tlio State, the publie, or any individual, has ever extended to me the aid of ft single cent. For convenience and security, the Nuts will he packed in tin boxes, and forwarded Irom Greenville, S. C., by such conveyance and to such address as the purchaser may direct, to any part ol the U. States. TEA PLANTS—now on their passage from China, selected with u single eye to quality, by it gentleman of largq experience in horticultural pursuits, end per haps better acquainted with the character ot the Tea Plant, than any person in Europe or America—will also be ehared with those desirous ol obtaining a email supply. A specification of the soil bestadopted to the growth of the plant, the mode of planting, cultivating, Sic. Sic., will ace unpany each percel.
