“ THE SOUTHERN PRESS.” I
A N Association of sixty-three Members of Con
gress, Senators and Representatives, have eon-
diluted the undersigned u Committee to tuperiu-
hncl the establishment of a Southern Frees at Wash
ington City, to be devoted to the exposition uud de
fence of Southern Rights and Institutions—tlie dis
semination of correct information as a Northern l'ol-
'ey, and tile course of Polilicul Adairs generally, with
out reference to the old party lines of Wuig and
Democrat. Arrangements are now in progress,
promptly to ensure the issue of such a paper under
the title of
“THE SOUTHERN PRESS,"
■or the conduet of which, suitable Editors have been
engaged, who will aUo receive the uid of a number of
amijunt und able contributors.

ject is to plant und cultivate; but as I am quite cer
tain that l have obtained, after tho labor of three
years, the best quality of Tea Nuts, I am disposed to

of Cnnti n are scarcely worth cultivating; on uccount
of tlie interior quality of the Ten. It is obviously the
interest of the planter to submit to on increased ex
pense, to secure a superior quulily of Tea Nut, in es
tablishing a Tea Plantation, whether large or small.
In prosecuting this arduous undertaking, I am In
