struction of a sewer in 3Uth street, between the Gtli
and 8tli avenues, anil in hoisting up a large stone ot
nearly a toll weight, the fall gave way and precipita
ted deponent, with the sti.ne, into the sewer, a distant c
of over fifteen feet.striking him on the back and
shoulder, which so severely jammed and bruised de
ponent, that he was taken up insensible and thought
to be killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent tor,
und applied the Venetian Liniment, which so revived
this deponent that in a few minutes lie was aide to
speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable
preparation, he wus eufiicii ntly recovered to attend
to his business as usual.in the short space of four days,
to the astonishment of all who witnessed the accident.
