Sea is- I i v j z; To Liverpool, 5,583 bales Upland, and 343 do Sea Island; to New-York, 2,864 halos Upland, and to Philadelphia, 301 bales Upland, leaving on hand and on shipboard not cleared last evening, a stock of ‘*6,721 bales Upland, and 87 bales Sea Island, against aJoGS bales Upland, and 1,350 do. Sea Island, same time last year. , There hns been but little animation in our market during the past w jek, holders showing no disposition to sell, and there being but a moderate enquiry from buyers. The telegraphic accounts of the Cambria came to hand on Sunday last, representing tho Liver pool market unchanged, but with large aales, and a ood demand-This was followed on Wednesday by a. esnatch of the Niagara’s newB, giving a decline in the i uglish market of } to } on all descriptions except Pair. The reports from the other side, however, had peceptible effect on our market, and but a moder- ,..j amount of sales have taken place, holders refus ing to submit to a decline, and the market has re mained firm at the sales made. On Saturday the sales were 558 bales ; on Monday 117; on Tuesday 491; on Wednesday none; on Thursday 233; and yesterday 523, viz., 92'bales at Uf; hoist 11}; 89 at 12 ; 36 at 121-16 ; 127 at 12$, 49 at 121, end 19 at 12} cents. The following quotations indicate tho state of the market: Ordinary to good Ordinary, 11} ® 11} Middling to good Middling, 11} ® 12 Middling Fair, 17} ® 12} Fair, 12} ® 12} The sales of the week amount only to 1912 bales, atthefhllowlngprices ; 92 bales at 11}; 148 at 11}; 672 at 12; 36 at£121-16; 478 at 12}; 299 at 12} j 60 at 12), and 127 at 12} cents. SEA ISLAND. The bales this week have been only 40 bales, viz : 27 bales at 21 ® 26, and 13 at 24cts. RICE. There is very little offering now, and we hnvehearduf the sales of only 100 casks. Common at {Si}, and good at #3} -per hundred. Stock of clean rice on hand ia light *’ ■ “ FLOUR. The tales are still confined to the retail trade, with a very limited demand, 100 bbls. Balti more hove beeh sold at $6 12}. CORN. This article is scarce, but there la liltle en quiry for it From store it is retailing in small lota at 75 cents. BACON. The stock on sale Is light. We continue quote Shoulders at 4} 9 5 cents, and Sides at 6} ® 6} cents. There has been no Tennessee* Bacon sold the past week. - The last sales of this article were as ' Uqwugttni at5} ® 6 cents; Shoulders 4 ® 4}c. COAL. Philadelphia Coni is'Selling at $6 p ton. SUGAR.. The stock on hand is fair for the Bea rn. A lot of Cuba Molasses received during the past *eck, was sold at 18 cents; N. Orleans, by the bbl. Is held at 30 cents -p gallon. COFFEE. There is a fair stock on hand, and a lit tle better enquiry. During the past week prices have ladan upward tendency, and good Rio is held at 10 i Ilk. 50 bags Rio brought 11 cents. HAY. The market heretofore has been very bare >f this article, but during the week aome has been eceived. 311 bales of Northern brought 81. From 'ie wharf it brings 111—out of store t#l 25 iff 100.
