City and County *1' New York, ss—Andrew Hun ter, of said city, being duly sworn, doth depose und say, that he was engaged m superintending the con struction of n sewer in 30th street, between the 6th and 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large stone of nearly a ton weight, the fall gave way nnd precipita ted deponent, with the stone, into the sewer, a distance of over fifteen feet.stnking him on tho bnck and shoulder, which so severely jammed nnil bruisod de ponent, thathe was taken up insensible and thought to be killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent for, and applied the Venetian Liniment, which bo revived this deponent that in a few minutes he was able to speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable preparation, ho was sufliciently recovered to attend to his business ns usual,in tho short spiicc of four days, to the astonishment of all who witnessed the accident.
