TEA CULTIVATION IN THE uThTATES. H AVING received a small supply of TEA NUTS, collected at great expense of money and labor, in the middle districts of china, from the most cele brated Tea Plantations of the Empire, I am prepared to fulfil my engagements by accommodating the pub lic with u share of the Nuts received. My main ob ject is to plant and cultivate; but as I am quite cer tain that I have obtained, after foe labor of three years, the best quality of Tea Nuts, I am disposed to meet tho wishes of the public, and to share them wiih others.—TeaNuts gathered in tho neighborhood of Canton are scarcely worth cultivating, on accodnt of the inferior quality of tho Tea. It is obviously the interest of the planter to submit to an Increased ex. pen'se, to secure u superior quality of Tea Nut, in es tablishing a Tea Plantation, whether large or small. In prosecuting this arduous undertaking, I am in fact acting as an agent for the benefit of the public. Neither tins State, tho public, or any individual, has over extended to mo tho aid of a single cent. For convenience and security, the Nuts will be pneked in tin boxes, and forwarded from Greenville, S. Cl, by such conveyance und to such address as the purchaser limy direct, to any part of tho U. States. TEA PLANTS—now on their passage from China, selected with a single eyo to quality, by a gentleman of large experience inliortieultural pursuits, and pr imps Cotter acquainted with the character of the Tea Plant, than any person iu Europe or America—will also bo shared with those desirous of obtaining a small supply, • A specification of tho soil hestadapted to the growth f the plant, the mode of planting, cultivating, &c. :c., will accompany each parcel.
