struction of a sewer in 30th struct, between the fitli
and 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large stone of
nearly a ton weight, the fall gave way and precipita
ted deponent, with the stone, into the sewer, a distance
of ovei fifteen feet, striking him on the back and
shoulder, which so severely jammed and bruised de-
penenti thathe was takeu up insensible and thought
to bo killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent for,
and applied the Venetian Liniment* which so revived
this deponent that in a tew minutes he was able to
speak ; 1 nd by the constant use of this most valuable
preparation, he was sulticiont’y recovered to uttend
to Ins business as usual,in the short space of four days
to the astonishment of all who witnessed the accident’
