City and County „f New York, es—Andrew Hun ter, of said city, being July sworn, doth depose and sny, that he was engaged in superintending the con struction of a sewer in 30th street, between the 6th and 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large- stone of nearly a ton weight, the full gave way and precipita ted deponent, with tile stone, into the sewer, a distance of over fifteen feet, striking him on the back and shoulder, which so severely jammed and bruised de ponent, thuthe was taken up insensible and thought to he killed.
