say, that he was engaged m superintending the con
struction of ii sewer in 30th street, between the 6th
und 8th avenues, and in hoisting up a large stono of
lienriyn ton weight, the full gave way and precipita
ted deponent, wiki the stone, into the sewer,aidistiuice
of over fifteen Teet, striking him on tho back und
shoulder, which so severely jammed and bruised de
ponent, that he was taken up insensible and thought
to bn killed. Dr. Tobias was immediately sent for
and applied the Venetian Liniment, which sb revived
this deponent that in a few minutes he was able to
speak ; and by the constant use of this most valuable
preparation, he was sufficiently recovered to attend
to his business nsusunl.in the snort space of four days
to the astonishment of all who witnessed the accident
