T ANDRETH’S GARDEN SEED-—TO
JU PURCHASERS OF GARDEN SEEDS. It is
self evident, that unless the seeds .which wo may
sow, are good in all respects, it will ho folly to ex
pect favorable results—either wo shall bo disappoint
ed by their not vegetating, or wl.at is still more
vexatious, find, after careful culture, that the variety
is worthless :—How many from their own experi
ence can estimate the imnoynuco of such nn event 1
Conscious of the room for improvement, and assured
that the seeds-man who should justly be entitled to
confidence, would receive ample support, the foun
ders ot tho establishment, now coulucted by the
subscriber, started more tl.an half a century ago,
with the determination to sell nothing hut wlmt was
worthy of credit; and that tboy might the more cer
tainly accomplish their object, resolved to produce,
ns far as possible, the seeds which they should vend;
experience having shown them that most imported
seeds could not bo relied on, much less those casual
ly collected, and sold to dealers.—The result was us
they had forekeen :—unlimited public confidence.
The concern thus conducted, has been gradually en
larged, and is now the most extensive of its kind in
America ; supplying not only much of the demand
in the Middle, Western and Southern States, butex-
porting to the West Indies, South America and the
British Posessions iu Asia. DAVID LANDRETH.
