Dr.GOUItAUD’S MEDICATED SOAl’.&c
N OT the pure whit* of the marbles of Pari can
compare with that which is imparted to the dark
est or most Tanned, Sun burnt, Sallow or Freckled
Skin, by a free use of GOUROUD’S ambrosial In
dian Medicated Soap! Rashes, Ringworms, Worms
in the Skin, Pimples, Salt Rheum, Motu, and all other
cutaneous disfigurements vanish from before it, us if
by magic I Its delightful, soothing properties make
it peculiarly valuable in the nursery, as also in the fre
quently painful operation of shaving. Jt can be
used at discretion either in salt or hard water—nnd
no Captuin of a ship should go to sea without a sup
ply. The roughest and darkest skin becomes by its
use, soft, smooth and pellucid.
GOURAUD’S Poudre Subtile will positively uproot
superfluous hair from low foreheads, upper lips, or
from any part of the body!
Gournd’a Lilly White is an innocent prepara
tion for instantly removing flushes nnd rendering
rough and yellow skins smooth and white.
I3T Dr. FELIX GOURAUD’S really valuable pre
parations can only be had genuine nt

13 BRITISH QUARTERLY REVIEWS.-Owinj |
to the late revolutions and counter-revolutions amoai
the nations of Europe, which have followed each
other ill such quick succession, and of which “ d*
end is not yet,” the leading periodicals of Great Brit
an have become invested with a degree of interest
hitherto unknown. They occupy a middle groun!
between the hasty, disjointed, and necessarily impel-
feet records of tlie newspapers, and the elabor»t«
and ponderous treatises to be furnished by the histo-
l-inn at a future day. The American Publishers, there
fore, deem it proper to call renewed attention to
those Periodicals, nnd the very low prices at which
they are ottered to subscribers. The following 11
their list, viz:

The “North British Review” owes its establisbmeni |
